Reminds me a bit on dragon roost. Bot are expensive enchantments that create large tokens.

Reasons why this is better:
- costs basically just one mana to activate instead of seven

Reasons why the drago roost is better:
- the tokens fly
- can be activated several times a turn
- it's only vulnerable to enchantment removal, whereas the spawning grounds can also be killed using land destruction, bounce and flicker effects
- getting the land this is on killed means losing two cards at once
- this is a more juicy target to steal for opponents, since they then steal two cards, and they might not have the red mana required to spawn dragons

Eight mana for an aura is steep, but not quite as risky on a (basic) land than it is on a creature.

And particularly if you have the means to untap the enchanted land, this can turn the situation to your favor quickly.

Deserted Temple, Arbor Elf, Bear Umbra, Garruk Wildspeaker and Voyaging Satyr and Trickster Mage come to mind.
Shadowcaster3975's list is particularly useful in commander. (Prophet of Kruphix, Seedborn muse, Urban Burgeoning).

If you're playing BlueRedGreen, you could also use Ral Zarek. Once his ultimate goes off,
you can make sure it becomes an even bigger overkill that it already is by default.

More redundancy with Earthcraft in your commander deck... beautiful.

It's missing a giant, a dragon, and a certain body soaring lifelessly high above the earth.

So...
1GreenGreen = 1/1 Squirrels
3GreenGreen = 2/2 Wolves?
4GreenGreen = 3/3 Beasts?
5GreenGreen = 4/4 Beasts?
6GreenGreen = 5/5 Beasts
