My biggest problem with this card is that it can only block 100 creatures after it become monstrous, very rarely do you see 100 creature, I have probably seen more infinite creatures than 100, yes I know it for flavor reason but it is kin of annoying in game...

The rules text "can block any number of creatures" is strictly worse than "can block an additional 99 creatures".

Given that his arms are just levitating around him, do you think that he stores them someplace? It might be like humans and car keys. Poor guy walks all the way to a polis to stomp some heroes, only to realize he left his arms in the kitchen cabinet. That monstrous cost is actually him making the journey to his house and back.

Not to mention it's even a pretty good creature without being monstrous.

Hilarious/10. I could not stop laughing once I hit the last line. Something about the MTG formatting forcing them to actually write out the word "ninety-nine" made it so much funnier to me.

Yet another flavor home run. More like a grand slam, actually. This is an excellent, excellent card and the fact that it becomes a 6/8 vigilant omni-blocker will ensure that it sees play, at least in controlling shells.

I cracked up laughing when this was spoiled. But who wants to bet we're all going to be eating it when some horrifying12-drop with Monstrosity 20 that pukes out 99 tokens shows up in Journey into Nyx or something? I could see them going with a "mother of monsters" creature at some point, given Greek myth.

Hmm if each of the hundred hands can block one creature. Why can't all creatures with two hands block two creatures? There is a flaw in the logic here...
Completely ridiculous, over the top, incredibly cool design. More like this, please.

I pulled him at the prerelease, and whenever he came down, he did solid work for me. He blocks almost anything else on the board at that point, and his monstrosity cost isn't that difficult to get to. And once he does go monstrous, you either have to kill him or accept the fact that your never attacking again.
Also, the flavor of this card is both hilarious and awesome.

I find it more ridiculous that because of that number, three giants with one hundred freely floating arms each can't block as many creatures as one midget trio. That makes a single Hundred-Headed One less capable than one kithkin.

It was supposed to be "blocks any number of creatures".

He is retardly weak in comparison to guardian of the gateless. token decks will just stomp through him forcing ya to take damage one way or another. Guardian at least got stronger for every creature it blocks and throw first or double on it and you easily destroy the token decks. Furthermore what about flying? They will just laugh at him not being able to touch them, while guardian is flying as well. If guardian is $0.25 then this should be $0.15 at best.

If it starts off being able to block only one entity with two arms, and super sayans up to block 99 more entities, wouldn't it's proper and accurate name be the Two Hundred Handed One?

Its not that silly. One of the first titans in Greek mythology had primordial beings on her side with a hundred hands. Also, if you have to choose between guardian of the gateless and him, do what I did, choose both.

3/5 vigilance for 4 mana, not bad but nothing to write home about.
Turning that into a 6/8 vigilance reach can block everything for 6 mana, not bad. But I would still rather play a primeval titan. Just saying.

They were going to make Leonidas make 300 soldier tokens. I totally wish they did.
Very nice, I didn't even know the legend behind this but it's still one of my favorite cards from the set. Hooray for trinket text!
Mosstone's right though; when you think about it, the number makes much more sense at forty-nine if with two arms he could only block one. What seems weirder to me though is that they chose to bump "an" to the next line which, had they not done that, might all have fit on six. I also wonder why they didn't use the verb form for the mechanic after settling on the "cost: action" formatting, given they'd indeed made monstrify a word. Such mysteries keep me up at night. Every night.
Nit-picking sure is fun. You'll never get it right Wizards, never! We won't let you! :P

Math has evaded you guys again...... 2 hands, block one creature. So when he becomes monstrous he blocks 99. Let's show our work here...
99 blocked attackers 2 hands per block = 198 hands needed..... Not one hundred as wizards thinks. Nor is it 200 like suggested in the comments.

@abcdefyou: You're more wrong than anyone else... Originally, this guy can only focus on one creature, even with his hundred hands. After becoming monstrous, he can use one hand for each creature. Note the word "additional", by the way; he can block (1 + 99 =) 100 creatures once he becomes monstrous.
