3/5, would run in edh or limited. As for standard, ehh...

Clue stones are awful. Can't stand them. With things like darksteel ingot and chromatic lantern for 3, who would want to limit themselves with only 2 colors for still 3 mana? And the card draw ability should be 2 colorless instead of one of each of the assigned guilds colors to make it good at all. For one of each mana in that guild AND sacrificing this mana producing artifact we should be allowed to draw TWO cards, not one.

You make a good point, Stayfrostyk. Letting the cluestones draw two cards would have actually legitimately made them good cards. I never thought of it that way.

@StayFrostyK: You're not thinking of different formats. Obviously for Constructed you'd use the Keyrunes or Chromatic Lantern, but for Dragon's Maze Limited these are essential for the mana fixing there; any higher rarity and it wouldn't work. So of course there's not going to be powerful compared to competition in different rarities and intended for entirely different formats. Unless you want Chromatic Lantern at common?
And we want them to draw two cards? That's too much draw for colours that shouldn't have it, like Boros or Gruul colours. The single draw replaces them so they replace themselves when their function is done, and that's all it needs.
