It *would* be reprinted right after I spent $13 to complete my playset.
Also, holy crap, I got a first comment. :o

It *would* be reprinted right after I managed to open a total of 9, giving me 5 to sell, which now no one wants. :(

It seems some demon has been scheming to lower the price of this card and ruin everyone's day.......

Made me buy 2 of these Decks when I really did not have the money and have BEEN TRYING to save up for Modern Masters, and failing Miserably >.<
I seriously though needed to regain a playset of Hellriders because they are for much more than Standard or Modern for me. :P Sooo flavorful they will go in Many of my Red Decks for years to come. :)
And even if he drops down to $6.99 value or less, the Hellrider in this box is the best deal you are going to get for a Hellrider, because it also comes with a foil Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. :P

This card makes red aggro decks in standard. And is even useful in modern.

I like the effect but it seems a bit worthless if you opponent field clears beforehand. Also I see a huge weakness to a burn spell deck as when you think about it Hellrider is only a 3/3. I like hound of grieslbrand myself mostly because of its undying ability lets you attack just a little more fearlessly.

@Darksythe222 It's not worthless if your opponent board wipes. That's the thing about haste. They don't get a blocker out until you've swung at least once.
In the type of deck this guy was meant for, you don't need to worry about board wipes anyway. You play fast, small creatures and a ton of burn spells. If your opponent hopes to stop you with a board wipe, they will most likely lose to the volley of burn spells that they no longer have mana to counter.
If your opponent plays something like increasing devotion with the intention of mass chump blocking all day, they will still take a ton of damage.
Picture it as a massive raid to the face every time you attack. On top of that, you get a 3/3 with haste. It's awesome.

There is no torment quite as terrifying as seeing someone drop a second Hellrider.
He's both better and worse than a global lord in that he doesn't help with combat but he always gets a reasonable amount of damage through. The haste makes him such a huge swing with even a pair of 1/1s on the field (8 damage)
Combines in a very nasty way with Sigil of Sleep, I think I just figured out what deck I'll put him in :D

@Goatllama Of course. Because lowering the price of a card and making it more readily available for the average Magic player to experience is such an evil thing to do... /sarcasm God forbid more people actually get to play the game with different cards.
