Wants 7 mana before it does anything. Still, putting multicolored creatures into play at instant speed, without paying their mana cost, is nice to do. No great card, but playable in the right deck.

i love this card, I've always found it to be extremely use full since i used to use it for karona n creatures like her like cromat, but now with progenitus and the nephlim and all those kinds of cards, this card has become just perfect for me to use.

This card + godsire = win. Godsire is non legendary, can have 4 in a deck.
im surprised noone has said painter's servant, it adds color, making every nonsrtifact card in your hand multicolored, now you can summon Iona, shield of emeria like turn 6, probably before im not much of an artifact player aaaaand have it block whatever color the servant called

I would reprint this in kind of a way they print almost every other unbalanced card from back then. Instead of make it Sac, or or something that would seem reasonable. Seriously, I do not see this card being reprinted as it is right now, the power is just to great. Even if you don't have the 7 mana, you could have the Mana to play this, then use it's ability next turn?
Again, remake the idea, not the card.

This wasn't, isn't an overpowered card and it really wasn't overpowered in it's block. Invasion block was underpowered, the creatures included. What were you going to do with this card? Use a five mana artifact to put a six mana Legendary Dragon into play?
Even with today's creatures, if you think it's an overpowered card, you have much to learn about the game. Progenitus might have made it worthwhile if both were around in standard at the same time.

Maybe it is just me but i like to use this with 1 turn boost cards dropping this first turn because of 2 dark rituals is hilarious, next turn pay 2 and bring out anything.

I'm calling a reprint in Dragon's Maze, themed after the Izzet. It seems like a possibility due to all the gate-related cards and the multicolored theme
I suppose it means "Ur-Dragon Arch" because the vast majority of dragon's are mono coloured, and at the time of this things printing the Ur-Dragons (Rith, Crosis, etc..) were running around. All Ur-Dragon's to date are tri-coloured or more.

Guys, um, I hate to break it to you, but they do not print cards that turn all your cards into CMC 2 in Standard.
I think it would be difficult to get an Elvish Piper reprint in the Core Set actually. Mythic Rares and Planeswalkers just in general increase the power Creatures have to be at for Standard to be OK (If the Creatures didn't wreck people, the Planeswalker Deck would flat out replace the card type).
I'm trying to imagine any scenario in which Wizards would let you play with 20 Lands, 30 multicolored cards ranging in mana costs from 4 to 8, and a spell suite designed to force this card onto the battlefield ASAP. No, I don't think so. This card would have make Diabolic Tutor playable in Standard. It would have been awkward to make the deck fully work, but it would have been probably way WAY more powerful than Maze's End.
Just.....no people. It's too much like Tinker Think about it in those terms. XD

Sweet, sweet ugliness when combined with dark ritual, or pyretic ritual/seething song/Geosurge. The right Draw in RWU can put out tons of mana T1/2:
2 and tap to play Rasputin Dreamweaver @ instant speed and gain 7 mana.
Finally being able to drop Johan @ instant speed makes me incredibly happy.
Hazezon Tamar at the end of your turn makes him almost playable.
..if you were ever going to make a Legends-era deck with actual legends in it, this is the card.
