Huh, the first thing I noticed about this is that the artwork is quite similar to that of Death's Caress. Then I noticed that this, unlike that card, is actually pretty useful.

Two cards at random, and to every opponent, really nice in group game.
Pros like me know how devastating a combo burn and discard is. I will definitely be picking 4 of these up.

Just a helpful reminder: if you're gonna include this in your multiplayer deck, ah, make sure you're well on your way toward victory before casting it. Because you can bet your ass everyone else is gonna start targeting you.

I suppose the randomness factor makes it better than Blightning, but the usability in multiplayer finishes up the cost for me. A bit much, but overall it's fair and very Rakdos.
Also, you think my face is pretty? You're so swe- *Crunch*

You get Blightning (which deals 3 damage, not two) at half the price, essentially, and when you want to go to multiplayer "Oh no, I'm sorry, we're going to give you even LESS, for a higher price".
See, this is why wizards are retarded.
If you made it do only 2 damage to every opponent, it's ALREADY worse than Blightning in 1v1, and should cost the same. Why would anyone run it in a format when they have access to something literally 1 point better? The answer: they wouldn't. It wouldn't break the game to cost this at 1RB, and the "does only a little less but to every player at the same cost" is something they really ought to look into, rather than blatantly nerfing it "just because"

RAV004: Umm...no.
While I could see this costing ONE less mana, because to be honest, a mana here, a mana there, what's the difference, REALLY?, you could NOT get away with this spell for 3 mana.
Here's why: The scaling effect of Multiplayer is simply ridiculous. You ever play a Syphon Mind before? In a non-highlander game, I'd play 4 of your suggested card in a heartbeat in every multiplayer B/R game- it lets me burn people down, AND mess up their hands at the efficiency of a Mind Rot....with STORM?! Yes, please >.>
Brain Crash 1BR Each opponent loses 2 life and discards 2 cards.
Is simply way too strong. Curving so good into the aforementioned Syphon Mind, then Breath of Malfegor??? What ARE you smoking?! That's 12 cards picked out for you in your 60 card deck. That's just crazy. You would make yourself the Archenemy...and that wouldn't be a problem because they'd have no cards in hand to deal with you.
Multiplayer shouldn't be a game where every player can take on every other player- before you suggest to just give all the players and all the colors spells that can be as good Brain Crash. That would mean that the only creatures you make anymore are all Armada Wurms, Broodmate Dragons, Wurmcoil Engines- and you can't make creatures like that all the time or it's not good for 1v1.
Basically, you want to make MTG multiplayer a Cold World War, where everyone has nukes and the first person to move either gets blasted out of the sky or blasts everyone else out of the sky.
Well, actually, as the cards are ALREADY being made, the Highlander format is quite enough like that ALREADY, it's just being kept moderately fair with Super Aggro and Super Control decks. Brain Crash would probably enable Super Combo decks bc at 3 cmc it would be very very easy to use recursion on it. So just....no.

So, this was meant for Commander, clearly. Funny in that format!

well you may say this is a lot worse than blightning, but you can have both in a deck so after a turn 3 blightning, a turn 5 skull rend can be devastating. also if you manage to destroy your opponent's creatures you should win. your opponent doesn't have any cards in hand in turn 5? well, 2 damage are still 2 damare.

A lot of people(not all) seem to be overlooking the most advantageous aspect of this card: It doesn't make your opponents "Discard 2 cards" like Mind Rot and Blightning do, it makes them "Discard two cards AT RANDOM".
This makes all the difference, because while you could argue at turn 5 or later they won't have a decent hand size, letting them choose which cards to discard versus making them discard something can be way more effective. Good players will typically try to keep card advantage and know when they get hit with blighting which two cards to ditch given circumstances, this card removes those advantages.
Not to mention some decks such as Golgari, will have cards in their hand they WANT in the graveyard, but discarding at random reduces their chance for success.
Hands down I'll be incorporating this into my Grixis discard deck and using it for multiplayer.

Hmm, yeah, Radagast has it right - this is actually pretty sweet in Commander...
Wait, no. The impact isn't worth the effect of ***ing off each opponent you have. Maybe late game when you want them to not interfere, but this could be a bit too risky politics wise.

I like how this is in many cases is better than Rakdos's Return. The whole random factor coupled with each player and the lower price tag make it an easy choice on which one I'm going to play. Yeah, Rakdos's has that nice modular aspect, but other than that this is so much more reliable and devastating. This common outclasses that mythic. That's pretty pathetic.

In my multiplayer environment there are seldom politics. In that vein this seems very effective. I can screw up every opponent and move to try and crush the smaller one. I get focused quite a bit, so something like this to 4,6, or 8-for-1 while dealing a small bit of damage may be quite helpful.
Notice that people may be more willing not to counter it simply because it'll negatively affect their opponents as well.

Someone tell me how this is rated 2.7 and Unnerve is almost a whole rating higher?
2 damage to everyone, two cards at random AND shoot little guys? Suuuuure, sign me up.
Add liliana's caress, sweepers like Slagstorm that can hit players too if desired and a lot of spot removal (your in RB...) and it seems like you're in a pretty good position.
