Maybe they should have called this Alucard's Thirst

At first glance, I thought this worked for bloodthirst and was pleased. Now that I realize it doesn't, it can go straight into the what-ever pile w/ bloodbeacon.

@nic56 I think Alucard's thirst would do much more than 2 damage.

If only it hit players, we could have something nearly as horrendously powerful as Lightning Helix in Standard.
Alas. ;_;

Not completely useless. if you had Bloodchief Ascension out with mindcrank in a multigame, you can use it to kill your blistergrub and kill everyone at once. although there might be better alternatives to achieve that goal.

Terrible card. I could see it being useful with Precursor Golem, though.

Beats Last Kiss most of the time (less splashable than the kiss though).

I WANT to say "Strictly better than Vicious Hunger.", But I know the actual definition of "strictly", and there are cards (albeit very few) that benefit/are benefited by Sorceries, and not Instants.

Lookin' pretty Alucard there, Sorin. And he's directly related to the guy who started vampirism on Innistrad. Instead of Grandpa Markov, let's just call him "Dracula." Sorin's also not too hot on what Dracula did and likes humans enough to give them a fighting chance. Sorin is totally Alucard.
I think it's funny.

I suppose thirst works faster than hunger...

This card really is a champion in my deck. It deals with a healthy number of aggro creatures and gives me a little bit extra life to survive where I thrive, mid-late game.

as hairless thoctar implied, way better than Vicious Hunger.
Edit: Ah, creature. Damn. It could clear a blocker perhaps?
Alas. ;_;
