I just came across this card in a pile of junk and threw it in my EDH deck with great results, try it out!

This card is far stronger than it looks; it is basically a situational counterspell which can also act like a Stifle on fetchlands, potentially effectively dropping a flying Avalanche Riders on them. It can completely mess up a deck which relies heavily on tutoring, but it is very vulnerable to removal and not all that good unless your opponent plays tutors; as such, it is doomed to see play mostly as a means to mess up those who play fetchlands. May be much more of a contender in extended once Mirrodin rotates out and EVERY deck ends up playing fetchland manabases.

Excellent ability. This could have been vintage material if it cost 1W (for 1/1 non-flying). Completely shuts down Hulk Flash, merchant scroll, tutors, and the like. Also great synergy with path to exile

@Tommy: I agree, but this card will probably never surface. It points to a searching theme, which means a lot of shuffling. They don't like building a block around a mechanic that causes constant shuffling.

I loved when in multiplayer games, someone would flash this into play when another play was about to Dragonstorm off and kill everyone. Then, I would go infinite via Sprout Swarm and Locket of Yesterdays

Compared to Leonin Arbiter. The lockdown from this would be more powerful late-game, but multiple Arbiters add up. Both have supported creature types. This can be played in response to someone searching, while Arbiter is seen and can be taken into consideration while planning moves. And Arbiter affects you as well as your opponent. I'd love to run both of these in a white control deck.

The best part about this card is that even if your opponent isn't using any form of tutoring you're still getting a 2/1 flyer with flash for 3CMC, which isn't too far off the curve.

Future sight was such a fun set. Being able to see the future of Magic the Gathering was awesome. I still wonder why they stopped it at Innistrad. There are still Future Sight time-shifted abilities that still need to be explored. I like this gem because the ability to limit how a player searches his library is very powerful. All that and a 2/1 flying body for 3 mana with Flash. What more could a control player ask for?

Trolls the crap out of Birthing Pod. Unfortunately not as effective against fetchlands as it could be, since there's a decent chance of the land turning up in the top four anyway. Also a very nice card to have on hand in EDH circles where tutors run rampant

I think that the best part of this card is how bad it can make your opponent feel. They crack a fetch and you Stifle it or play Shadow of Doubt, they just accept that you got them and they lose a land. You play this, there is still the hope that the card they need is there on top of the library, and then when it's not, it makes them feel so bad. And then they have to still shuffle, just to rub it in their faces.
Powerful effect on an evasive creature with decent stats. 5/5 for me.
