4/5 The art and flavor text are great but sadly he's sideboard material. Poor Marauding Knight.

@ NARFNra:
You're mistaken in interpreting protection from white meaning that it can't be destroyed by white spells. Protection specifically means can't be targeted, enchanted, blocked, or damaged by anything with the named quality, in this case white. Wrath of God and Day of Judgement simply kill everything that isn't indestructible.
In the same vein, this is completely pimp-slapped by white if the player has a Runed Halo and names this card.

While he is sideboard material, he's damn good at it.
EDIT: Offending names removed. Surprised I forgot that, considering I've Wrathed a Progenitus before...

Perfect for a star game. Wail on the person playing white with this card, since they are required to be mono white. Now if only there was something for green...

Powerful card, but not versatile enough to be tournament worthy . . Definitely awesome casual card

Not bad, especially for multiplayer. He is protected against white spells because of his protection. Against black removal that says "destroy target nonblack creature" because he is black. And against burn, because he gets huge easily in multiplayer. And in addition, he is now a zombie and a knight, both good creature types.

Combos against white decks.

step 1: Get laughed at for playing this during a multi-player game where no one is playing white. step 2: Watch them roll their eyes when you play Vision Charm after blockers are declared.

A mirrored pair with Crusading Knight, representing Phyrexia during the Invasion. This one might be worse than its Dominarian counterpart just because there are less ways of guaranteeing your opponent has Plains. There are tons of ways to make an opponent have Swamps, though.

Think about it, for {2}{B}{B} you get a 2/2 that can be bigger(and will be against White decks) which can't be Swords to Plowshares-ed, Unmake-ed, Ousted, Vindicated, Path to Exiled, or even Baneslayer Angel-ed away.
