I don't understand why everyone is so crazy about Tome Scour. This mills just four cards - for many years now - but at instant speed and with two further options attached. And the best is that you can put it on a stick: Isochron Scepter.

At worst, this is an instant tome scour. At best, it's a silence for mono or dual (or even three or four) colored decks. Great card.

People like Tome Scour because you can use it in formats that aren't eternal :P Given the option, most people would probably prefer this.

I play this in my U/B/R deck with Flashfires as the backbone combo of the deck. No better effect than completly wiping out your opponents lands for only 5 mana

Instantness (?) is relevant because you can cast this after opponent has brainstormed for instance.

This card is instant. i.e., you can force target opponent to discard the one he just tutored (usually put on top of the library), scryed, or Sensei topped. Adding two more abilities that temporarily deals with artifact and mix/disrupt lands, this card is good.
Is non-basic a type of land? if so i this is going in my edh deck to troll

This card has everything going for it. Cheap mana cost, instant speed, 3 options, great for milling, great for control decks (becomes a Silence if you are playing against a mono-deck i might add), AND it is a common, which means it is plentiful, cheap, and legal in "peasant" magic. 5/5 for this card!

This + Isochron Scepter + Urborge = silence on a stick

A really great card! I have an important question: Does it change all land types of the chosen land type? I mean, becomes a Taiga for example only a swamp, if I chose Mountain, or will it be a swamp and still a forest? After an answer, I will be able to deside, if I'm going to run it in my wishboard. Thanks. :-)

Is the type of lands that aren't in play yet changed by Vision Charm?

For reference the land types are:
forest island mountain plains swamp
desert gate lair locus mine power-plant tower urza's
All lands that have whichever of the above types you name will have the second typed named instead of all previous types until end of turn. IE if you name mountain for the first type and swamp for the second then a land that has types forest and mountain will gain type swamp and lose its forest and mountain types until end of turn.
Non basic lands that gain basic types are still non-basic lands and still have the same name.
Desert-Forest is my favorite change and seems to fit the flavor of visions. If it got to keep it's original type then Desert-Island would be neat too.
