This form is pretty meh, but her flipped side (at least I think it's a "her") is amazing. Repeatable removal (albeit against anything with 4 toughness or less)? That's pretty awesome.

It honestly rather bothers me a bit that neither the art nor the mechanics really sync up between this and her night side.

Both are pretty cool though, so there's that.

I like both sides.

I really don't like the fact that the two sides have nothing to do with each other, especially since the archer side is so mechanically-driven.

Either
Shoots flying creature for 2 -> shoots any creature for 2
or
Shoots flying creature for 2 -> shoots flying creature for 5

would have made the card more connected as a whole. As is, it's a mess of a card.

Well, fighting is kind of like shooting other creatures, they just get to shoot back. Yeah, still doesn't feel like it quite fits. Although I guess anybody can really be a werewolf...

Makes sense to me... as a human archer, she hunts down evasive (flying) prey and deals damage equal to her "base" power; as a werewolf, she hunts down elusive prey (which are trying to avoid any chance of combat with her) and deals damage equal to her total power.

It actually speaks a good deal about the difference between otherwise similar humans and werewolves. Humans use weapons which augment their abilities, but are still limited (no amount of ferocity will make the ranger's arrow's deadlier), while werewolves use their feral abilities and are willing to get their hands dirty for the extra killing power.

Killing people by moonlight...
Shooting flyers by daylight...

This makes sense to me too... As a ranger, he runs around outside hunting... With human tools, yes, but he's a hunter. Night falls, and he keeps going, with different tools though.

Mechanically it is a bit of a pain. It would be better if it were just a green prodigal sorcerer that only shoots creatures.

Why does this card need to make sense? You guys don't usually give a damn about flavour anyways.

She drops her crossbow when she transforms into a werewolf, and then goes a huntin' all feral-like. How DOESN'T that make sense? I guess the thing should be running around with a werewolf themed looking crossbow, yeah, that would have been the most sensible thing to do... Wait.

It makes perfect sense to me, people just whine too much.
Stop thinking about it as a Ranger or Archer, and think of her as a Hunter. As a human, she's limited to relying on her bow, which is traditionally used to hit arial creatures. As a werewolf, she still retains her hunting prowess, but it's enhanced by the wolves natural skills - since it no longer needs the bow, it hunts creatures on a one-on-one, predatorial basis.

This card is ok... it's nice for killing off the small flyers and such that abound (I would have liked to kill Hawks with this) such as Vault Scourge and Moorland Haunt tokens.
Overall, rather meh, but I think it's solid, and the transformed side makes up for it's rather mediocreness.

Obliterates counter-heavy control decks if you can resolve her. Get two out and your opponent is in for a world of hurt.

This card is really good. Don't think of it as this side vs that side, it's all one. The reason I like this werewolf so much more than the others is the strong ability is at instant speed. You are in complete control:
1) pass the turn
2) kill something

My favorite werewolf. The werewolf side is better than the human side, but not strictly better. In a few rare situations, such as when you want to shoot down your opponent's phantasmal forces, or you have no red, you may actually want to flip her back. I'd love to see more werewolves like this.

I used to play this card, but then I took a gigantic evil bloodthirsty werewolf in the knee

By knee I mean it mauled my face off

My only complaint is that she doesn't have Reach. Then again, her ability could arguably be superior to Reach, but flavor wise it would make sense.

I don't think people understand how powerful this card is... 2x as good as huntmaster of the fells in some situations... Play this turn 3 flip turn 4 take out any of their creatures at the end of their turn and can take out 2 creatures! In combat. Blocks the fights. Kill a 2/2 and a 1/1 prevent flying damage easily enabling a deck without any flying creatures late game, at the very least, can kill one creature and prevent another from getting through all for just one mountain. This card is insane if used well... 5/5

Shoot that poison arrow- shoot that poison arrow... Nightshade Peddler to take out any non indestructible flyer, even Gisela, Blade of Goldnight due to being two damage, and deathtouch fight ability. Good removal!

That is the most ridiculous crossbow I've ever seen. Note to the artists: Either give your characters a bow or crossbow, but don't give them this ludicrous and impractical hybrid thing.

@Tiggurix Or they should have just used muskets. They said they didn't want to increase the technology, but then you have stuff like this, where you have one of the Titan Engines shooting mana beams... So... Yeah, that...

Sadly, her human form isn't much to rave about. I've usually found that if a flying creature is really that important to my opponent, he will either buff up his flyer over 2 or remove Dawnbreak Ranger. If you can find a cheap way to give her haste than her ability might do more. That said, when she flips...well, bad things happen. And by bad things, I mean violently awesome things.
