Nice flavor text, good card, although the enchantee becomes a Lightning rod of sorts.

If only it were a global effect instead.

This was my first card, and I didn't understand what good it did. Now I see it, and I see it as very decent.

Quite nice on a high-toughness wall.

What an interesting card. It mitigates the typical card disadvantage associated with auras by potentially leaving behind +1/+1 counters, while not doing anything immediate and thus not demanding immediate removal itself. It was printed in the wake of Rancor, one of the most obscenely powerful creature enchantments of all time, and understandably with lots of jobs on the line, Mercadian Masques was not a particularly powerful set.

This is potentially useful with things that benefit from +1/+1 counters, such as graft creatures, or spikes, and has interesting synergy with the slith creatures. It forces you to choose if you want to block Arcbound Slith and have it grow, or to let it through and let it grow. If you kill it, then you can set off its modular ability and move those counters over to another creature.
