Oh hey, they finally loaded the Archenemy rares. Nice.

This is amazing, and you can have a guaranteed copy with buying an archenemy deck......will probably buy one JUST for a copy of this card.

Rated the best creature in Magic... for very good reason. This card is incredibly overpowered. The ability to kill an Emrakul the turn it comes into play for only a TAP makes it one of the most overpowered creatures in the game even for its cost

Amazingly not mythic. Why R&D, why.

I've caused much devastation with this card since it came out in the precon for Prophecy, and I recently got another in a Prophecy booster pack. So overpowered, yet everyone loves it.

It's not mythic because it's from a set that came out 10 years ago. And on top of that it's now in this pre-con.

obscene combo with Thornbite Staff, instant kill on any and all creatures it can target.

This + Thorn Elemental is what made rk post popular. The art is simply epic beyond belief.

The only thing that can beat the artwork would be a full picture foil Chippy Ravnica 2.0 land signed by Richard Garfield with Chimney Imps dancing in the background.

Every other "Avatar of..." card has an alternate mana cost that requires your opponents to be doing well, and a decent ability. This card has the easiest alt mana cost to acheive- you could actually be dominating and still qualify- and has not only a great standard ability, but a second one which is disgustingly superior to the others.

This card is the reason I have Prison Term in my deck.

Awesome art is awesome. I like the abstract background stuff, especially on a creature like this who is just so absurdly powerful.

whoa. avatar of whoa in fact. Definantly beast, she would be good even without the reduced casting cost ability

THE best avatar... and one of the best cards for a black EDH deck...

It looks better than it actually plays (and this includes EDH). It can kill creatures, or it can attack, but it can't do both simultaneously. Black has numerous better fatties, such as Reiver Demon and Pestilence Demon.

How to not smile while putting this on the table, paying only 2 mana? :)

Yes it looks better than it actually is at cost, but that's entirely understandable considering you'll be setting up a situation to play it for BB. If it didn't have the cost reduction ability it would be lousy, like all the Prophecy avatars, it's the ability to get this creature for 1/4th the cost on relatively simple conditions that makes it so good. Also, when it was new, it was one of the very few ways black had to kill black things, which combined extremely well with its Fear, allowing it to become unblockable while eliminating threats.

This card was printed before mythic was invented.

If Black is doing its job properly, Avatar of Woe costs 6 less to cast.

Black ability

T: Very very black ability

My deck: Black/Blue/Red Sedris EDH

On another note, dies to dismemberment, BARELY.

This card is worth it even with the hardcast. But there's really no excuse for a black nigh-unblockable 6/5 that instantly kills almost any creature, for (B)(B). Rightfully deserves the nickname of "Avatar of WOAH."

Sounds like a worthy addition to any reanimator deck, any black creature hate deck, or any milling deck with black in it.

I swear they throw this card into every deck possible....... not that I'm complaining.

How could anyone give this less than a 5? If you're playing a black deck with any measurable competence, 10 creatures in the grave isn't too hard, like at all (exceptions: reanimator decks, UB Show and Tell decks), meaning that you get a 6/5 for 2 that just kills anything it damn-well pleases.
