Hell of a Limited card. I doubt it'll see much play outside of that, although (as already noted) the spot-on flavor of the card warrants a second look.

He smashes their heads with their own toys. Yeah, it worth playing regardless of mana cost. And there are plenty of ways to sac artifacts in red. That's sheer JOY.

Player 1: Muahahah! I equip my Argentum Armor to my Skithiryx, The Blight Dragon, and swing for the kill!
Player 2: Can't. I sacrificed it last turn.
Player 1: What?
Player 2: Read my Ogre and WEEP.

Really funny, but you have to know that your opponents are running plenty of equips, seeing as many decks could get by without them.

Pfft, I do not like this, should have an artifact or something. Honestly, are you gonna keep this in your side board for use against equipment decks? Limited maybe, but still incredibly situational.

Whispersilk cloak shows up way too often for me to turn this guy down. "Oh, you gave your valuable guy shroud, that's cute. *yoink* FIREBALL."

In a deck based around artifact sac, this isn't just getting rid of your opponent's Darksteel Axe while swingin' for 6. This is getting rid of your opponent's Darksteel crap, attacking with 6 power, getting 3 1/1 tokens and dealing 2-4 damage to any target. Dude's a monster as long as he's got somethin' to grab. If not, he's just a mediocre 4/4 6 drop. Kind of a gamble when it comes down to it.

On a side note, I always look at this guy as buddies with Barrage Ogre. He grabs something, toys around with it for a bit, then hands it to his pal who immediately smashes it into some poor schmuck's face. Priceless.

Hmm... Bludgeon Brawl for fun times anyone?

Liquid metal coating your jace. Swing. I'll equip your Jace, hit you in the face for 8, and then, to top it off, I think I'll play Jace's 0 and brainstorm for some goodies. Yes, you were just laughing at my 6 drop.

this is actually good sideboard material, especially if used with sac cards like Krark-Clan Ironworks.

Great against caw-blade decks. Make sure to keep him protected with a whispersilk though, so he can't be bladed/exiled or whatever before he can have some fun on the battlefield.

Mirrodin can teach the other planes how to make awesome ogres, in my opinion. This guy and his pal Barrage Ogre would be sooo much fun in casual, if only my friends play more equipments.

A situation that would never happen, but would be hilarious if it ever did: three Geargrabbers attacking and stealing Helm of Kaldra, Shield of Kaldra and Sword of Kaldra, allowing you to produce a Kaldra token, either gibbing the opponent's Kaldra or, if the opponent doesn't have a Kaldra...

-I, the mighty Kaldra, have been summoned! I shall now wield the awesome power of my weapons against your enemies!
-Uh, sorry, we're gonna have to give that back, see, those artifacts are not actually ours, we just borrowed them.
-...
