On Mirrodin, the 'Enchantment' half is the garbage half.
On Theros, the 'Artifact' half is the garbage half.

proof that the standard environment means everything in context of these cards and they should not be judged only at face value...

Very relevant meta choice. Nice card at common. Will be valuable for blue in Limited, especially.

The flavor text is a wicked portent of things to come...

Also, no Gods for you. Maybe only sideboard material in Theros limited, but very good sideboard material.

Additionally, if someone uses this to counter Colossus of Akros, then tables shall be flipped.

A good counter for the God cards, and one of my favourite blue spells ever. I am glad to see this reprinted.

Well, it does counter gods...

@Lord of Tresserhorn: I know the flavor text told me that Xenagos would be the block's Big Bad, as well. Before, I was thinking that maybe one of the gods would metastasize into an eldrazi.

Then again, are the two incompatible...?

This might see play if Standard revolves around the gods, though that remains to be seen. It's not very good in limited however, oddly enough, as it's just too situational.

Hunter06: In Urza block, it has no garbage half and is a 1-mana instant non-landVindicate that stops ETB effects. XD

Appropriate for the set and quite likely standard to an extent.

Perfect for Theros really, without even thinking about the gods.

For one, hits every Bestow creature regardless of mode. Between them and the artifact creatures that's an additional 22 creatures from Theros this can counter. Add to that the way this opposes the heroic mechanic (assuming, in this example, a good portion of the targeting is going to be with enchantments), and this counter answers a lot more than it might seem.

You know, considering what happened both previous times this thing was around, I'm a tad worried.

My god, this thing counters gods!

This thing was an absolute beast at the prerelease!
In Theros limited you are almost guaranteed to sit against a couple of bestow creatures, making your opponent sweat with just one land up is just amazing!
How will it perform outside of limited? Not sure, sideboards should love this one. Between Triton Tactics, Artisan of Forms, and Aqueous Form blue might just have a slim shot at the blue aggro delver style.

This is actually maindeckable material in Theros limited, from my experience.

>Opponent topdecks Purophoros and does a dance

Deceptively stingy, sneakily potent. Too bad it wasn't around for Mirodin II, though.

Hmmmmmm... I wonder if this will be any good in an "enchantment matters" block...

One mana counterspells, no matter how situational, will always find some form of play.

This card hard counters 23.08% of the Theros set for U.

Does it work for enchant creature as well or just enchantments?
Any one pls
