If you can get this guy out around counters, he's a pretty solid sideboarder. The regen is but one mana, and he can get in there for a decent two, fairly costed at two mana. Biggest drawback is the one toughness, so he's easy to ping.

Green Creatures that don't suck...
River Boa, Mirri, Cat Warrior
Cradle Guard, Troll Ascetic
Ashcoat Bear, Albino Troll
These creatures put beef on the table with easy 2 or 3 casting costs AND solid abilities.

@ liir007: you're missing a lot...
One of the best Snakes around. Great value for money, and should be able to regenerate it all day. Compare to Mire Boa if you're up against a deck.
