Echo was such a terrible idea on creatures like this -- ones that lack haste or an 187 ability.
This is a card where the "dies to removal" argument is relevant. You spend your second turn playing this creature, and then you lose your ability to make a full third-turn drop by paying for your creature who has yet to do anything! Your opponent can just watch you sacrifice your own tempo on your third turn, then off this stupid card with a Terror. That knocks an aggro deck right on it's ass.
