I don't know whats worse: the horrible art work, or the over proportion of rules text.

Infinite combo with Doubling Season since you can just infinitely remove and put them back on doubling each time.

Still, paved the way for Pentavus and has a nice concept, a slid 4/5, despite hoe broken it is.

Sigil captain and forgotten ancient would be a good combo with this.

The way it's ruled on says you can put the abilities on the stack in any order you want, but not multiple times, which means, the best you can do per-turn is remove all the counters and sacrifice them all to quadruple the counters on it. Still not bad, but definitely not infinite.

when used with Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker its better than Pentavus if you can get rid of it while it is 1/1 since you don't need to pay to split it up

"This card now has two upkeep-triggered abilities. Its controller chooses the order they are put on the stack, and thus the order in which they resolve each upkeep."

So you basically put

>Remove counters from this permanent and make them into 1/1s

and then

>Transform 1/1 counters into +1/+1 counters for Tetravus

Onto the stack. You cannot duplicate and use the ability multiple times, is basically what the ruling is saying. One usage per upkeep.

"If the Tetravus is destroyed when the Tetravites are off the card, they are not destroyed, they are just orphaned."
That is just so depressing.
Poor Tetravites never knew their mommy that well.
Maybe my opponent will refuse to destroy Tetravus because of the emotional scars that would be left.

I wouldn't say the artwork is horrible, at least for me it's atually quite iconic for Magic. I used to have so much fun with this one!

The problem with the art is that it only depicts three parts whereas Teravus is four part flyer.

The first of it's kind, so I suppose it's forgivable for being overcosted.

I love this card, just adds some nice nostalgia to any old school deck. I personally have a deck with Tetravus, Pentavus, Triskelion and Triskelavus. Seems to fit the green play than any other colour since it would need ramp to keep up. As mentioned Doubling season does a nice power play and Energy Chamber just adds fuel to each of these creatures. For any artifact heavy deck I always like using locus lands. CIP effects practically compliment this guy

T1: Cloudpost
T2: Cloudpost // Vesuva
T3: Glimmerpost, gain 3 life, drop the beast and release the swarm!

One of my favorite token spammers 4/5

@BongRipper420:
6 mana for a 1/1 flying artifact and 3 other 1/1 flying artifacts with protection from enchantments is fair, especially since you can put a little bit of +1/+1 counter support in your deck with it to make it more effective. But I suppose wouldn't exactly say that it's better than Thopter Assembly...
... MOST of the time ;)
