Please don't judge me, but this is also a decent card on the XBOX Live Arcade MTG game, for it's overall averageness. Yes, i do play it on my Xbox. Shut up.

I like this flavor text better.

As stunningly average (and sliding into poor) as this card is, compare it to Ironroot Treefolk and appreciate how even the bad Magic cards have gotten better with time.

Wurmcoil Engine eats this one for breakfast. But, on the other hand, http://www.allmostexpensive.com/most-expensive-magic-card.html.

Perhaps a little under-powered, but I like it.

I pulled a foil one of these. I was amazed at how quickly my expression changed from "Ooo foil :D" to "Aww Spined Wurm D:"

Even thought my first Deck was this blue-sceada-thingy from 8th Edition, this worm was my favorite card in the awesome "how to play magic" cd from 9th core set.
I always picked green, because of this 5\4 body-power. Black had some kind of Bug (4\2) and the other colors just 3\3 creatures, so in fact: The computer wasn't able to defeat my monster. muhahaha.

It works well with Overrun and obviously, Overwhelming Stampede, and is a good draftable card, like Greater Basilisk
