Hmm. This turn I'll choose Emrakul! Er...Wait! Wait!

If it would at least be a merfolk... It can be fun in multiplayer, else it's highly situational.

Oke i was wondering the following. If i use this abbility before the declare attackers phase of my opponent has started on a creature with an ability that needs you to tap that creature, can you still tap it to use that ability or is it already reserved for attacking?

Aiyakido: Your opponent could still use the tap ability before he declares attackers, at which point the target would no longer be able to attack, negating your siren's ability.

The flavor: She's so sexy you have to try and kill her!

I always liked this card for its flavor. In a UW control deck it can be comboed with something like Condemn, Chastise, or even Divine Verdict if the player happens to be low on Journey to Nowheres or Oblivion RIngs. Like I said, great flavor as a Siren as depicted in the Odyssey, but your opponent won't need bee' wax in their ears to survive against her; despite her uses she's too limited to see play.

I liked the old Imp + Sengir combo. Luring a creature does feel more black than blue. This ENFORCES combat and blue should do the opposite. BTW: The sirens lured ships/crews into dangerous water. So if blue has an affection for ships, water and so on, the Sirens shouldn't be blue as well.
And since I believe that the Lightmine Field should have been black or blue, it would have been a nice mono-black combination. Works well with No Mercy as well.

This card is surprisingly useful. I run 4 in my U/R defender deck (I no what you are already thinking.). She combos very well with rage nimbus and wall of frost.

I think 0/1 with merfolk type would be more appropirate. The art is still great.

5/5 for art alone. The card itself is not very useful.

It could potentially see some limited play, as with the right creature force to back it up it could result in repeatable spot removal.
However, it's far, far more limited than 'creature spot removal' such as Blinding Mage and Royal Assassin. Greater Basilisk would work well with it, given its high toughness and deathtouch.
This would be amazing and hilarious in multiplayer if not for the "you" in the ability. =\

@ Brixton:
The scenario you just implied evokes images of a siren and tentacle rape. Thank you, and enjoy rule 34.

This card could be effective on small to medium cretures if you use a Wall of Tears

Appreciating the classic quote for flavour text once in a while. =)
Looking at the rulings, this seems like an interesting way to keep your planeswalkers alive. (But... why do I care since I don't own any planeswalkers?)

Hey, you can use her to ram your enemies against a Wall of Frost at turn 3. Not bad, actually.

Why is this the only Siren in the game? And why did it take this long to print?

Interesting that WotC implemented a new creature type just for this thing. It does make it more flavorful, but one wonders how many sirens will come in the future.

This only works when you have a strong board position then opponent, and choose to remain untapped. Situational limited card.
