Not a bad card for casual play in the right decks. Good flavor.

Pretty bad, but the art and flavor text means that it gets a 3.5/5 from me.

I kinda like how black creatures are coming into play tapped... Interesting flavor, but it seems to fit for the undead.

I'm kinda with the rest in saying coming in tapped fits the zombie archetype. Terrible card, but cool flavor.

Type your comment here.amulet of vigor ... I would still play mind sludge or malakir bloodwitch over this ANY FREAKIN' DAY.

No, the flavor doesn't fit right at all with the mechanics.
Boogers, I hope we get good zombies back one day.

I agree B3 and this is playable, coming in tapped is definitely an undead thing

Quite efficient for black, I like it. Plus the downside isn't really all that bad. 4.5/5

Busted open a 2011 fat pack today... and since I'm feeling giving, I'm throwing a couple in for some casual play and giving it a shot.

But I'll be honest, its only to round out a bare bones budgeted u/b zombie deck. Maybe in combination with Fatestitcher, it won't be so.. useless? Screw it. Atleast the art is cool.

Dumb,Stupid,Retarded and I LOVE zombies. You guys clown on Wood Elemental but this guy is bad.

Of course it isn't "good", but 5 toughness on a common black fat creature is significant for limited.

What a terrible card, I get the tapped part. Don't like it, but I get it. I love the flavor text, it almost makes the coming into play tapped okay. Still as has been said, why does it cost 5? Why not 4, hell why not 3 but make you lose life when it enters the battlefield?

How are people saying "Its pretty good, 4.5/5???"

4.5/5 is like Life from the Loam
are you kidding me? To be placing this with god-cards like that?!

This isnt even hardly playable in draft. And since when are black vanilla zombies getting huge amounts of toughness?

Got completely bashed by these in sealed play during the M11 pre-release.

OK, that's actually a lie of omission...

It wasn't quite them attacking that did it (were easy enough to chump block).

I actually got beaten by someone Flinging these with a Fire Servant already out and casting Reverberate.

Not constructed worthy, but I like them conceptually. There are definitely much more playable zombie fatties out there (and who *really* wants Zombie fatties anyway when you can just stack a ton of Zombie lords?). 2/5 when rated for playability alone (which is honestly the only way I ever rate cards), but that doesn't mean I'm unhappy to see wizards print them.

Would be a 4/5 if it cost 2BlackBlack.

Anyone who says this is decent or good is clearly trolling.

Absolutely terrible creature, not worth the ink or card stock it's printed on.

I'm giving this a VERY GENEROUS 1/5 stars. Consider yourself lucky, you piece of crap.

The art is fantastic and coming into play tapped is great flavor. The card is bad, but not the worst card ever printed. I really like the flavor.
3.5/5 for flavor and art.

This card may suck in almost every format; however, this card is great in a draft. All that coming into play tapped dose is that it can't the turn you play it. if there was a 4/5 for 5 that could not block, you would take it in a draft. all i am saying is that before you call a card "***" look at all of the uses for it.

Nice art. That's about all I can say good about this card.

Unimpressive in constructed, but a fun card to draft. It's a beefy beater. It has the unfortunate effect of being un-hasteable and unable to block.
That said, it's better than other commons at the same cost.

It has the opposite of haste. I like its flavor.

Omni, I just randomly got here from Scathe Zombies and I agree, I wish Wizards was still using real application for Magic.
