This thing really... sucks. A 6/6 for 6 CMC is par the course, but it cuts your HP in half when it dies? And you can't even donate it because it effects it's owner, not it's controller? Pathetic.

Whoa...... I thought it was unglued. This card is terrible.

A selection of 6/6s for 6 ordered from lowest to highest community rating:

This: "Oh god those numbers are so high let's make it suck." Horribly unfun to play.

Frenetic Raptor: Terrible at first glance, but has a place as a weird anti-beast sideboard card. Which makes me laugh if nothing else.

Arctic Nishoba: Quite good while it's on the field, drawback isn't prohibitive and when it dies you don't feel like you got gypped.

Hellcarver Demon: The lowest rated mythic rare on the list (still >4.0), since it's so risky and can be stopped by any flyer. I don't really like the feel: "Find a broken combo or else Flip a coin: Heads you win, tails you lose."

Intet, the Dreamer: Rated #6 of 10 in the Invasion/Planar Chaos cycle of awesome dragons with game-changing abilities. Makes you want to play a triple-color deck that can pull off summoning them and throwing mana at them, and feels epic when it works. The cycle gets crazy powerful, but at least you have to build around them and there's plenty of ways to fight them.

....above here is where I think it gets stupid. The mythic rare Titan cycle and Lorwyn incarnation cycle are monocolor cards that give insane abilities attached to great creatures. You barely have to think, because most usual decks that can pay their mana cost will simply want them. U/B got to the top 2 spots in 2010 worlds with "control, control, control, Grave Titan". Faerie decks run an army of cheap faeries... plus Wurmcoil Engine, because, hell, why wouldn't they want to play that for 6 colorless? Rampaging Baloths is ludicrously broken in a landfall deck... but pick up a green deck and throw him in instead of a different biggie and you'll probably do fantastically.

It's just so... thoughtless. Big creatures with awesome straightforward effects are fine... but they shouldn't be so overpowered that a control deck can literally just throw them in to win.

It's great, virtually impervious to death, just keep STP in your hand.

Awesome flavor, awesome artwork. Good ability, but with too high CMC. The drawback is negligible in white, especially now. It's one of my all-time favorites because of the artwork. 3/5.

For something like this I except P/T like Serra Avatar instead. After all, it's my personal incarnation, so I expect it to be as tough as me. Then I'd get something out of the deal at least: A (potentially) huge creature.

Just so people understand, back in the day this was one of the strongest creatures in the game.
And there was only Terror and StP to worry about removing it.
Heck, this + Blessing probably was THE biggest creature in Magic for awhile.
So when commenting and rating, understand it was a creature for its time - comparing it to Vigor or creatures thousands of cards later than it is a tad disingenuous.
And the artwork and flavor was really cool back in the day.

My first stint playing Magic was back in 4th Edition. At that time, I can totally see this guy blowing my mind as I opened a pack back then.

Reapersaurus is right. In Shandalar, if you are playing monowhite and want fat, it is either this or Elder Land Wurm. Would you honestly prefer ELW? It's adorable, but you lose... hmm...
Or, you know, Serra Angel. If you're "Mr. Mainstream." Try something different for a change, you pansy!
People also disregard the first, quite useful ability. Redirecting some damage to yourself puts you out of range of just about any combat trick designed to kill this fellow.

I love the flavour, and bear in mind that you can protect it from being damaged! I wouldn't run it, but I love this card.
