Good if you have duel-lands or the other two non-basic Forests.

The very fact that the land does not come into play taped will often make this worth playing in mono-green decks over a rampant growth.

@scumbling1:
While I am of the same opinions concerning organized religion as you, are the Gatherer comments really an appropriate venue for religious discussion? Granted, the card in question references mythology relevant to your points, but it seems not a discussion of flavour, but an advocacy of one's own personal worldview. It's well put, and I agree with you, but I still have to question the relevance. That sort of thing has a tendency to spark quite a bit of off-topic discussion and clutter.
And yes, I do understand the hypocracy in that I'm both adding an irrelevant comment AND adding to clutter by posting this. A few comments, then:
Having the land come into play untapped is so very, very valuable. In casual mono-green, I often run the equivalent Nature's Lore (as Eved mentioned), and in the first few turns, it's absolutely beautiful. You no longer need to waste your second turn doing nothing but accelerating, a-la Rampant Growth- with a mana elf one-drop, you don't lose any tempo, and you hit your two-drop right on schedule (Talara's Battalion is always a good choice in this situation - chances are it's bigger than anything else out at this point).
Of course, good luck finding this version anywhere offline. Nature's Lore indeed.

Found 26 on sale from magicardmarket.eu. Prices ranged from €7,20 to €13,86.
From an EDH point of view, this card is freaking wonderful. Land comes into play untapped (Shocklands you still have to pay the life though), can fetch dual lands, and only costs . In the right deck (basically, any mono-green deck, or any deck using duals) this card is definitely better than Rampant Growth.
