The interesting thing about this card is that it destroys creatures. This means that you can regenerate them and does not affect Indestructable creatures.

To bad this is a $160 card.
I would run 4 of them with my War's Toll deck.

This is nuts. There's a reason this is a 160 USD card...if everyone had four, there'd be no creature decks left. And Timmy would be a sad little boy.

First off, if everyone had one and anti-creature decks became the norm, then he who plays anti-enchantment/artifact/spells would be god. And then someone who played creatures would kill him. And so on.
This card has its uses. However the only one that it does well is empty your bank account.
Its a mana disadvantage for a mana disadvantage that also affects you, thus limiting its usefulness. It doesn't beat indestructible creatures, or protect you from creatures at all.
This is the Paris Hilton of cards. It has its uses, but once you've filmed it and shown it internationally, who cares?

Too bad it's just "destroyed". If it were printed now it would definitely be "sacrifice that creature".
cast an Armageddon and take all his lands, then play the Tabernacle and say Go!
..and there goes all his creatures too. Wicked

Yes, it can kill Progenitus. ""Protection from everything" means the following: -- Progenitus can't be blocked. -- Progenitus can't be enchanted or equipped. -- Progenitus can't be the target of spells or abilities. -- All damage that would be dealt to Progenitus is prevented. Progenitus can still be affected by effects that don't target it or deal damage to it (such as Wrath of God)."
This does not target the creature. Protection won't protect from destroy effects, just targeting and damage.

Another card that was worth only $20 for almost 8 years then went up to $30 then $40 and then I come back to Magic years later and it's selling for $200 plus on Ebay, glad those 7 copies I have just collected dust in a box instead of getting sold off with everything else.

Use this with a few Lodestone Golems to really slow down the game.

Amazing in burn decks that run little-to-no creatures.

it would've been cooler if it produced even just colorless mana..but even without it, this card is still sick! i would've used one if i can afford it but i cant so instead im using pendrell mist in my Armageddon deck.., not a bad alternative i'd say..

Among other things that everyone else as already pointed out-- this can quite profitably be enchanted by Equinox without losing mana. Something few lands can claim. :)

If this is reprinted in the upcoming From the Vault: Lands set, you can bet I'll get one for my creatureless prison deck.

This card is up to $300 USD. Still amazing, especially since it's seeing a resurgence in Lands Legacy deck. Really want to build that, but the best versions run two of these. Probably gonna stick to one, personally. Heh.

This combined with Rishadan Port is so disgustingly good for control purposes. Plus legacy is littered with Crucible of Worlds and Wasteland so you can mess up someone's strategies early game with a crap-ton of money and little setup. But isn't that Legacy for ya?

Amazing card, and highest rated non-mana producing land. Suck it Bazaar.

Probably the best land in the game that isn't named Tolarian Accademy.
This has got to be one of the Top Most Broken Cards of all time. It is essentially a rishadan port against the cradle, only it doesn't require an extra mana, nor does it tap itself.
You can just imagine how broken it is against all other lands.
What makes me really mad are the other cards it works well with though. Stuff like the previously mentioned Rishadan Port and maze of ith and wasteland and strip mine. And of being associated with that wasn't enough, this thing is supposedly located on tolaria. We all know how that accademy turned out.
Anyways yea. This card is easily the most annoying card in the world.

pop down vorinclex and then this card. it could really slow down a game, if not completely halt it.

For those wondering why this card costs so much:
There was 121 rares in legends. This means that each individual rare shows up once every 121 packs. In a modern set, the rarest mythic rare shows up once every 120 packs. Even if you ignore how old Legends is, and how few packs were sold, this card is rarer, just on a per pack basis, than any card printed in any set other than legends.
