Black's low cost answer to an opponent's attacking Baneslayer Angel. Two Baneslayer Angels attacking you? Exile one, and block the other with your copy.

So THIS was the card Mark Rosewater was talking about in his Twitter post.

As some people have said, this card basically reads- BB- Exile Target Baneslayer Angel, and steal it for a turn.

Broken Visage as a trap.

My only gripe with this card is that you never get to attack with your shiny new Baneslayer Angel token.

Ah well.
Black gets another 2-cost or less, bargain bin way to deal with money.

You can see it's a Rosewater design from a mile. This card makes absolutely no sense. Removing attacking creatures from game? Creating copy tokens? In black?! Those abilities are white and blue! Oh, and it triggers if YOU attack with a white critter, which is massive FAIL.

True_Mumin, in flavor, the mechanics of the card make sense. We see a Kor, a white creature, that's exploring somewhere, and the trap gets triggered to protect.. Something. The trap kills the Kor, with the Kor's own image. Very black I'd think, given that the trap is essentially killing the Kor.. With himself.

black/white ally deck. once you have a few allies out, use join the ranks to drop some white soldier ally tokens. next turn attack with them, maybe they'll draw a blocker. either way, play this on your own white token. you get to put another ally token onto the field to trigger all your other allies (possibly boosting them enough to defeat any blockers)

who cares that it gets exiled after the turn, the ally tokens were just there to trigger other allies anyway

What happens if you use this on Gideon while he is in creature form? Do you get an indestructable creature?

I think this card is great even if the attacking creature is not white, you can pay 6 manas to exile anything you want, indestructible effects dont apply (of course shroud does and that is only one more reason for me to hate such effect) and you even get a token after that. My question is if ''exile it at the next end step'' means you exile it at the coming end step of this very turn meaning you dont get to attack with it during your turn? or does it refer to the end step during your turn (the next turn)?

This + Teferi's Veil = Win.

Funny, if your opponent isn't playing white, Broken Visage is still better. And that's a HOMELANDS card! Good to see that power creep hasn't affected everything.

I once saw a guy hard cast this to get rid of his Abyssal Persecutor for the win.

Oooooh, this would completely decimate any of those white/blue control decks that seem to only use Celestial Colonnade as its win condition.

Set back their attacking power and tempo with 2 black mana.

S-S-S-SIDEBOARDED.

Time Stop to keep that sexy, exiled, overpowered creature.

@BastianQoU

Wouldn't Time Stop just instantly kill your copy?

@Mosstone: Time Stop skips the end step entirely. It goes straight to the cleanup step (during which you discard down to your max hand size).

Shut up, Akbar! It's not a trap!
