At first i wondered whether tokens were maybe only excluded in the oracle of this card because of the old wording, yet regarding Mercadian Mask's Desert Twister (as opposed to that from Arabian Nights), "permanent" was already a known term.

I run four of these in my dingus deck; it's retardedly dirty!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a GB Eldrazi deck with 3-4 of these. Even if they have enough cards to block, the Annihilator ability effectively reads Annihilator X: Whenever this creature attacks, defending player sacrifices X permanents and loses X life. If a GB Eldrazi deck can find room for this, it'll win a bit faster.
@Sarroth: the only problem is that you couldn't use eldrazi spawn. but i guess that's why you made it G, for the ramp :)

It's a good card to have in your deck.

Put some kind of Breeding Pit on your side so that all the sacrifices your black permanents need are tokens.

@BastianQoU Nope, this triggers "whenever a card is put into a player's graveyard from play..." and is clarified in the errata as "whenever a non-token permanent..." Eldrazi tokens are safe to use.

Good card to side. Combos well with Consume the Meek against a weenie deck.

Use this with Opalescence and Mirrorweave. Now all of your opponents creatures are a Liability.
