I have found its a very fun for blocking everything but trample. Currently in my merfolk mill deck for defense and a bit of bonus with kraken eye and drowner. There are a few times I do get coral atoll + merrow reejerey x2 and it gets crazy. Granted its rare but for those few times I had those with a drowner or kraken eye infinite mill/life.

While I agree that the card is bad, it doesn't have "evasion" as in the colloquial use of the term. Usually, that term is means that a creature evades blockers (with flying, trample, ect.) rather than it evades removal.
This, Aluren, Merrow Reejerey and an Island gets you infinite Storm for a lethal Brain Freeze, which is my favorite answer to the question "WTF, why did you splash green in a Merfolk deck?"
(In mono-blue you need to abuse double-High Tide to ensure the Island that Reejerey keeps untapping nets you the you need. A more viable "go infinite" option is Æther Vial set to 2, but that doesn't generate Storm, so you have to abuse Intruder Alarm or something...)

Annoying infinite blocker. Can also interact with any number of, "when a creature enters the battlefield" triggers.
