@ GrimGorgonBC: Take another look at landfall. Also, in legacy, vintage, and EDH searching for and dropping duels is great.

I certainly hope you're just being a massive troll here.
Whether or not you hate these things is irrelevant, but the very idea of tearing them to pieces instead of selling them for $15 a pop is completely asinine.

I hope that one day you stumble upon a real scalding tarn, and it shows you the same amount of hostility that you bestowed upon it.

Your lack of respect/knowledge makes you senile. Furthermore, your deliberate emphasize of how you tear up these cards to either show you're 'rich' and sees these high-value cards as trash and can get them anytime; or just to offset certain players, while these cards can be sold in wide range from $14 to $25.
If your intention is to play the brat, believe me when I said this, the only ass you have made of is yourself.

I'll admit, I didn't like the fetchlands when I first saw them, but after running a few in EDH to fix my mana, I'm a believer. In my Rafiq deck, I run all the fetches that I have that apply: Arid Mesa, Marsh Flats, Misty Rainforest, and an old Flood Plain. With a Savannah and a Temple Garden (can't find Tundra/ Hallowed Fountain anywhere, or even a Windswept Heath), the lands often fix for multiple colours while thinning the deck. One life is well worth this.

Aside from that. I'd love to get my hands on a playset. I run fetches in most all my decks if i can afford them.

I just got three boosters today and in one I got a scalding tarn, which is my second now, the other a misty rainforest, which is also my second, and a sphinx of lost truths which I didn't have yet! I'm havin a freakin good day today!
Anyways though, this is a great card, works great with landfall obviously, and I like the Knight of the reliquary trick. Awesome Combo potential.

Insane. Pay one life to thin your deck by one card, landfall twice, get whatever you need the most and still be able to use it as it doesn't enter tapped...
It also says Mountain or Island, which I guess means that you can get Steam Vents if you want to, though I'm not sure whether or not you would still have to pay 2 life to get it untapped...
I want 4.

Its funny, when I first start playing magic and I got this in a booster pack I felt jipped of a rare. So I sold it to a local gaming store and to my surprise they were offering 8 or so dollars for it. It wasn't until later that I realized the actual utility this card actually has of double landfall, tutoring for any mountain or island, and deck thinning.
Heck since its blue one of my favorite things to do is cast Brainstorm then pop this sucker to shuffle my library.

I couldn't play my MUC deck without these...Brainstorm FTW!
This was the only good form of mana-fixing besides Preordain available to my Neurok Commando burn deck, and it worked wonders over Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds, although I obviously ran a couple of those too for good measure.

Now here's a small question. How will the rule change that M14 is putting in place about land plays affect the Zendikar Fetchlands?
If it makes them just a way to grab a certain land on your upkeep, instead of being double Landfall, will they go down in price?

I'm pretty sure the m14 doesn't affect the ruling. This is not playing a land, it's "putting it onto the battlefield"
You will still be able to play a land if you have used the ability as i understand the rule.

Counterburn, Grixis Control, Combo (Pyromancer's Swath, Dragonstorm, Past in Flames), are all very powerful decks for their formats.
