Regenerate has been absurdly strong in M10 limited play. Since most of the powerful removal cards have lost the ability to kill regenerators, they're incredibly difficult to deal with. And at a regen cost of G there's almost never a situation where you will regret playing Cudgel Troll.

Terror -> Doom Blade
Wrath of Good -> Planar Cleansing

Both spells have lost the ability to kill regenerators and the old regeneration enchantment has gone out as well because the ability to permanently regenerate any creature would be broken in this set...

Powerful, regenerate ability without fear of Terror or Wrath of God, and amazing art work. It could have used some flavor text, but overall its still a great card.

This guy is a house. power at cost, toughness just under, and regeneration. And right now there is no fear of antiregen clauses, like was mentioned above. Things like Terror are gone. the only thing he has to fear, is fear itself... Path to Exile and Boggart Ram-Gang

Cudgel Troll, I have to say, is an amazing card. It brings the regenerate ability into green decks, and it can help you out in a pinch. It's worth the 4 land you have to tap to bring it out. Very much so, if I do say so myself.

What? No "troll shroud"? Almost constructed-worthy. But a real beast in limited for sure.

Nice P/T for a 4 drop and regenerate for only 1. Not a bad card at all.

Definitely among my Top 5 in limited, once this hits the board it's never going away. Unless you forget to leave a forest or Llanowar Elves open

this actually is no real four drop. technically yes, but who plays this in the forth turn? By then its kaina lame, but it rules if you get it aattacking in 3rd. Hard but possible...

I really like this card for the most part, with regular green mana accel he hits play about turn 3, and with boosting cards like lieges, he can be 5/4 and up and still regenerate for 1 mana. So much removal gets around regeneration these days I'm not sure how powerful it is though, namely incinerate, terminate, unmake, path to exile. I think someone could have the most fun running numerous mass wipe cards like volcanic fall out, day of judgement, and firespout and then just regenerating the cudgel troll for 1 mana.

I love this card. Low cost to pay for a creature that is gonna be a real pain to get rid of. Love this in combination with Earthquake. After the dust clears, it's nice to have a nice heavy hitter or two.

4/3 Regenerator? Awesome.

Way back in the day, regeneration was an awesome ability... seems like the wheel has turned and it is getting back to its old fearsome self again. I would not want to have to deal with this guy.

I might just be biased due to my love of trolls, but this just might be my favorite green creature in M10.

Great limited card, a real powerhouse.

Can beat up on smaller creatures/take down your opponents life quickly, or tie up larger creatures in the late game. All around great creature.

Serves as a good part of the basic meat of my green deck. It's either a near-impenetrable blocker or a risk-free attacker with decent power. Love the troll. 4.5/5.

Nowhere near as good as the almighty troll ascetic. this guy fears path? Hah! Ascetics laugh at white mages all day, dancing through wrath and stomping face all day long.

Flavourfully speaking, he makes me think of Shadowmoor. He doesn't look like a Trow, of course, but the environs he's in hearkens back to that set. Now that Terror and other regeneration countermeasures are out of the Standard for the time being, his ability should be more relevant.

Awesome in the early game. Worst case scenario, he becomes your go-to blocker in the late game.
