Sometimes better than overrun because of instant speed.

This is the ONLY instant that gives trample to all of your creatures. And let me tell you, instant speed trample can be backbreaking. Overrun is overkill. This allows you to sneak a subtler victory. Overrun is blocked correctly, this probably isn't. This is also much easier to use in decks that would struggle with reliably getting . Now you have a use for the large efficient green creatures that don't have trample. Here are some green fatties that love surprise trample: Nacatl War-Pride!!! (all the tokens get trample! take that overrun!) Engulfing Slagwurm (otherwise it wouldn't be blocked) Cloudthresher (high utility creature that isn't suspicious without trample)

Sure, its instant speed means that it isn't always worse than overrun.
But let's be honest, it usually is. +3/+3 vs +1/+0 is pretty huge.

Not strictly worse, though. This could theoretically boost a 0/1 token army. And, more importantly, is cheaper. And an instant.
Not really the best card, though.
