Is this even woth commenting about? Why waste five mana just to steal a land?

So you can have a card called "Conquer" before you actually Conquer them, then call it foreshadowing and convince them to submit before you destroy them.
@OpeeFornenom: Even better, cast Conquer and follow-up by castingForeshadow!
The card itself is mediocre at best though..sure there are (potentially) really good lands to steal, but if I was running a land destruction deck, i'd be destroying opponents lands, not taking them. Also in a LD deck, Plow Under fits the bill much better. Although you probably won't have any friends to play against after a couple of resolved Plow Under spells..and with good reason, that card is full of hatred.

Image both players have 5 lands. Then you cast this. You: 6 Lands Them:4 Lands You guys are missing the big picture. If this was one red mana less, people would complain it is overpowered.

Oh, one of my favorite cards!! I love playing my Conquer/Annex deck. Such a griefer card, but I love the idea of being able to conquer someone else's territory. They need to bring this thing back.

I'm having trouble thinking of a land that I'd pay 5 mana to steal.
EDIT: Yeah, you can really tell I'm not a legacy player.

Avram Garrison is a true man. He doesn't take shít from those bloody elves and his last name is a fortification.

@Superllama12: Your point is? those lands are pretty much horrible. I'd go through some effort to steal an opponent's Homeward Path if I was playing an EDH deck bent on stealing people's stuff though.

Great idea for a card, but was just too expensive. 3R would have been fair and very useable.
@ Try4se - paying 5 mana to only be able to remove a land is just dumb. You might as well use Craterize. Four mana would make it *good* but not overpowered.
And I don't think many people nowadays would complain that it's overpowered; this is an era where spoiled new players whine about Fiery Hellhound being too weak. That thing's a punisher.

Lots of tasty targets at an EDH table but that's about it.
