He looks kinda like a pirate. See, there are pirates in Zendikar! Although disguised as wizards for some reason.

it's more useful than Merfolk Looter because it can target opponants too. sweet!

Why is a mono blue human reckless? Sounds more like the name of an Izzet scholar in my opinion.

It can target your friends in multi player! would have made more sense to boost the toughness instead :-\

Very nice stuff for draw/discard with the likes of Megrim/Underworld Dreams, or when milling.

I think that the only reason he would be reckless is because he would do anything for learning.

Hmm... Could we have yet another Card for Turbofog to force opponents to draw, here?

Try him with plagiarize. Opponent loses draw step and then you draw, followed by the scholar targeting the opponent so that he will discard but you get to rob his draw. If you have down 2 reckless scholars it gets even more ugly!
Lore Broker is pretty awesome, though I think the difference between that guy and this one is that this is more focused; Broker kinda plays up the chaotic side of draw control, in that it simultaneously helps and hinders everyone at the table. Obviously, Scholar here is much more focused, as stated, affecting only one player at a time. In that sense, I think Lore Broker, while the name is quite fitting, could be reckless as well, potentially helping everyone, or screwing everyone at once. What I'm trying to say is that these two wizards lend themselves to different strategies, and thus I'm not entirely certain that they can be compared. Not quite apples and oranges; more like Granny Smith and Red Delicious. :/

i dont understand.. 3 and a half stars? this is fantastic card control, it gives every card in your hand cycle for nothing but a tap, and like your gonna use him to attack.
Cephalid Looter with an actually relevant creature type. I'm game.

Targeted looting is weird. I once had someone use this effect on me, I just like "uhhh, okay". I'm sure it could have some use (Multiplayer politics or something, wincon for mill decks), the 2 power makes it decent for limited though.

What, no Unstifled Yawn, Good-Sized Turtle or Repentant Barnacle? Maybe next time.

It's amazing how much more esteem this gets than Cephalid Looter.
