wow! only 6 mana to probably kill a creature, unless it can regenerate or it has more than 5 toughness.

I like it's dual purpose. Fair creature removal, and basic land cycling for . Even though the cycling requires a red in the cost, I still like it. Plus, it's kinda like a somewhat upgraded Lightning Axe, or like the ol' Lava Axe.

Not a bad card, you can use it early to prevent mana screw, and later on you can kill your opponent's creature. Too bad it can't hit players...

Wish it was a little cheaper, but hey I am sure it will find its place somewhere.

Red is not a landsearch color, to get landsearching for a mear 2 mana (and for lands other than mountains) is great. The rest of the card is just a bonus, and allthough expensive, is useful when you have enough mana.

If you think about it, in the darn 3 color decks (or more) this is an early mana arranger or a late game removal; In my case, it's a Spellbound Dragon meal. And the art is one of my favorites. Yes, it DEFINITELY should be able to hit players.
You would think an artistic rendition of Ajani Goldmane falling into a lava pit on his first plainswalk to Jund from the Alara Unbroken novel would make more fitting card art for this one, given the entire Alara block is mostly based off of the Unbroken novel.

Can either be used later in a burn deck to get rid of a nasty creature, or cycling early to get your mana pool up. not the best, but decent card. 3
That's it. People who rate this around 2 are not understanding the true uselessness of this card.

Landcyclers are for limited. This one is designed quite well with that in mind, making sure you will cycle it early game and play it when you don't need lands. If it was an efficient common removal spell, say, four mana for five damage, people wouldn't want to use it for cycling at all, even if they needed lands.
