I agree, this card should have definitely been cheaper.

Hmm... Its a tad pricey, but defenatly gives you a decent advantage later in the game, when 7 life and 2 cards can make a difference.
Not sure how much I'd want to kiss a sweaty knight's forehead though ;)

It might be pricey, but I agree with thopterthallid in that this is quite useful late in the game when life and cards matter more.

My favourite artwork in all of Magic. But the card is too costly.

this is like a failed anti bligtning it should've been 3 cheaper for 3 life
So offsetting the cost of these two spells by ramming them onto one card, the cost being lowered by the higher number of varied colored mana symbols, a spell recquiring multiple colors being fundamentally more difficult to cast, this card should cost some where between 4 and where it's at currently.
I propose 3WU.
Shame too, the art and the story for this are fantastic. I could see myself enjoying this in a casual setting and maybe EDH.

This card is very playable, since it massively likely to be in a U/W control deck where drawing/lifegain is critical to success.
Combine this with U/W staples like Wall of Denial and you're in business.

seems like it would be fair with 3 cards.

Definitely playable alongside Grand Arbiter Augustin IV - {2}{W}{U} for two cards and 7 life is pretty much a bargain :D

Imagine a card that draws you ten cards and gives you thirtyfive life and this card would be called... Blowjob of the Amesha.

I don't know, just compare it to divination. The extra color and mana just isn't worth the extra lifegain, which just doesn't matter that much.

Do I like it? yes. Am I playing it right now, casually? Definitely.
I do dearly wish it cost one or two less mana, however, although I like the symmetry provided by that nice, round mana cost.
I suppose this card is a much about flavor as it is about effectiveness, and even though I'm mostly a Melvin Johnny, I can appreciate that.
Even better, it gives you a bit of bargaining power in a multiplayer game as people try to gain your boon, seeing as it's targeted.

6 CMC? I wonder how much it costs to sleep with her.

The cards flavor indicates it's for Bant, and not Esper, so why not cost it at ? You know, combining Heroes' Reunion with Counsel of the Soratami/Divination. The life gain not being instant would, in a way, be it's payment for being multiple cards at once.

It's really time to rework a playable version of this card. How about for Draw three cards, gain 4 life.

A bit expensive, but when you cast this, you're going to be needing both life and cards, so I suppose there are worse things to top-deck.

I wish this was good but, you can do a lot with 6 mana. Like things that actually affect the board state. Just too overcosted. Should have costed like or something like that. Though the fact that it's Angel's Mercy and Divination cost may make 5 cmc seem way pushed but, life gain just isn't that good. The effect is just too big to do all at once. Like they should have done something like
Kiss of Amesha
ART
Instant (uncommon) Target player gains 3 life and draws a card. Flashback When Kiss of Amesha is cast from the graveyard you gain 4 life instead of 3 life. The art on this card is really hot -Jace Beleren
Making Sacred Nectar a cantrip would make it slightly more playable but, that on top of the fact it can flashback for a larger cost and effect would make it good. Heck, it would make it good for combos as well. It would combo with Ajani's Pridemate & Rhox Faithmender.

As everyone's been saying, great art. Even the coloration of the angel and the knight's armor set well with the mana cost colors and gold border respectively. Eventhough it's hard to cast, the right control deck could still make use of it. I would love the feeling of casting this on a teammate who is at the end of his/her rope in an archenemy game though. to possibly save a life would be worth it.
pricey but awesome in multiplayer - 3.5/5

Of all the cards I've ever bought, the Bant cards have the best artwork I've ever seen.

If you're running a deck that specifically interacts with lifegain or you having a high life total, this is a solid pick. It's a little shaky otherwise, generally speaking control will prefer two extra cards and instant speed (Opportunity) to seven life: by the time this is castable, either they have stabilized the board and aren't losing life any more or they're solidly in the negative already. It's rare for control to be still taking damage at this stage in the game but somehow not be dead.
You may also wish to consider Sphinx's Revelation: For this cost you get 3 mana and 3 cards (and instant speed), plus it is highly variable in usage. Whoever suggested CMC 5 for this card was probably right on the money, it would have given it a nice niche.

Let's do a little math, shall we?
Two cards at sorcery speed = 1UU
Seven life at sorcery speed = 2WW, though WOTC seems to be coming to terms with the fact that life gain is absolute jank in constructed context and has pushed it as low as humanly possible.
So offsetting the cost of these two spells by ramming them onto one card, the cost being lowered by the higher number of varied colored mana symbols, a spell recquiring multiple colors being fundamentally more difficult to cast, this card should cost some where between 4 and where it's at currently.
