Seems nice for landfall decks.

isn't this exactly what you want to do when drawing cards early? hit your land drops and thin the deck

what happens in 2-3 colors deck, with nonbasic land? 3/5, no more.

So does this mean I only put Blue Land cards in my hand or any/all blue cards?

Everyones talking about the land draw, but I also notice this is one of the only merfolk with built in flying so you aren't paying mana for it that you would rather be using for counter spells. That's a really important difference especially for tribal merfolk decks where you really want to be playing other merfolk instead of making one of them fly.

It doesn't say "basic" land, it says "island." Breeding Pool, Hallowed Fountain, Moonring Island, Steam Vents, Tropical Island, Tundra, Underground Sea, Volcanic Island, and Watery Grave, would all be valid searches.

Gaea's Skyfolk and Saprazzan Legate are perm flyers.
Caller of Gales, Manta Riders, Seascape Aerialist, Vodalian Knights, and Waterspout Weavers jump/fly also.
