Could kill almost anything when combined with Hearthfire Hobgoblin in a red/white deck or a goblin deck. Would have been more playable if he had haste or was a 3/3

It needs to at least have the option of hitting the opponent or something. That might be a little overpowered, but it needs something else, right now it's just like a crappy red version of Nekrataal
Reminds me of Gempalm Incinerator. Both gobbos too. Also both rely on board position for the effect to do anything. The main difference is that the Incinerator is cheaper and provides a card, while this provides its own 2 damage and comes with a 2/2 attached.

Hmm. compared unfavorably to Flametounge Kavu, but can be fun with any of the red shdowmoor/eventide gods(Nobilis of War, Deus of Calamity, Dominus of Fealty, and especially Demigod of Revenge) My problem with this sort of effect in general is the fact that it kills itself after a sweeper, and lacks some capability as a generic creature. Compare Torch Slinger.
