My first thought was 'It kinda looks like he's riding a pair of flying bongos'. My second thought was 'Wait, he -is- riding a pair of flying bongos'. After that I just blacked out from the awesome. Shiny effect though, especially on something with evasion.

In addition to enters-the-battlefield effects, this guy is simply annoying as hell to defend against! I played a game of emperor where both sides lost the pawns facing across from each other and it came down to emperor versus emperor. This guy almost lost me the game. Such a great card, and costed at a decent level that I can't consider overpowered.

Combos fairly well with Sundial of the Infinite, I'd say.

Ragamander - how?

Galepowder Mage attacks and exiles a creature. During the Second Main Phase/Post-Combat Main Phase, you tap Sundial of the Infinite to end the turn. The exiled creature never has a chance to leave exile because no Beginning of the End Step effects trigger.

This card plays well with Springjack Shepherd.

@SkaerKrow
Not quite. You need to wait until your end step, and the "Return to battlefield" trigger goes on the stack. In response, activate the sundial, exiling all spells/triggers on the stack and ending the turn, and they don't get their creature back. It is one of the more annoying combos in this game.

@ Kruggles: I thought so as well. This guy's OK, but I'd prefer something more efficiently priced like Flickerwisp. And I'd prefer Flickerwisp because its ability triggers as an ETB, and because it can exile whatever permanent you choose to target.
