So, there are 6 card types in MTG, Land, Creature, Instant, Sorcery, Enchantment and Artifact. This card can deal with HALF of those. If you can afford the awkward 3-ciolors of mana, play this card.

Pretty much the most versatile 3-mana spell since Vindicate.

Amazing card. Should be run as a 4-of in any deck playing the color combination.

Its worth having 3 manas in your deck for this card. And build your deck around it.

Artifacts: destroyed to bits. Creatures: sent to oblivion. Instants: vanished from reality. I love this card.

Love this card. I ran Bant for the longest time, and this card was always a 4-of. Great way to get rid of potential blockers, or even potential attackers. Works as an effective counterspell to stop cryptic commands from tapping all your guys and such, and is essentially a kill spell against Esper.

Pretty damn versatile... if you're in the colours there's very few reasons not to play this...

Bant charm is simply amazing, for one reason and one reason only, the creature sent to the bottom of the library. Your not putting it in their graveyard, your not simply enchanting it with an oblivion ring so it may come back later if the ring is destroyed, you put it in a place where most decks don't have access to it. Totally prevents any unearth, persist, or other creatures, and even if your opponent has a tutor, they have to use the tutor to get back the same card, and repay the mana cost, and then still can't use it again that turn without haste. The card advantage on that sort of creature removal is the best in the game, besides maelstrom pulse.

Well the grixis one can deal with basically anything temporarily (Bounce lands for tempo gain, Planeswalkers, Really big creatures or pesky enchantments or artifacts) and then paired with a duress/w/e it can sent it away for good. And the -4/-4 removal kill most creatures dead, and the ones it doesn't kill are killed by your own creatures or don't hit for much that turn (A baneslayer hit by Grixis Charm dies to Storm Crow)
But the only thing Bant really shines at is the creatue removal, exept that path is generally better, and the instant counter isn't too useful, what is there to counter now? Mana Leak? Lightning Bolt, Another charm and some removal, But you can't hit the Blightning (as it is bant's enemy colours you'd think you should have an answer for it) or Pulse, The only spells worth hitting are the ones that cost less than it, which is disadvantage on you.
So yeah, not really an answer to everything like everyone says it is, and the best charm is Esper Charm becasue it's draw 2 for 3 mana at instant speed (which is really good for control), or can make an opponent discard cards (which can also be really good) and can even blow up Oblivion rings (which gives you back something like Jace or Baneslayer, which is like casting a 4 or 5 mana spell with flash for 3).
And just to finish off, I like Naya Charms "Tap all your dudes" ability, but it should've had a Lightning Helix effect instead of a Lightning Bolt one, and the regrowth effect isn't bad. and the Jund just sucks (becasue we really needed more graveyard hosers)

Solid charm that actually has a rarely seen ability on it, not just a stunted version of a common ability.

Compare this with the old Treva's charm to see how magic has changed over the years. Bant charm / Treva's charm Destroy target artifact / Destroy target enchantment __winner: slight edge goes to Bant Charm. Put target creature on the bottom of its owner's library/ exile target attacking creature __winner: Bant charm - exiling is nice but the lack of targeting restriction is more important. Counter target instant spell / draw a card, then discard a card __winner: Bant charm - Oh sweet god this is not even close.

Flexible in its use. May not be THE best card to do certain things for 3 mana, but having options is extremely powerful. In EDH, this card beats out cards like path or swords vs generals and has less side effects than chaos warp or oblation. The other stuff is icing on the cake.

Versatile, but none of the effects really feel like a three mana spell. The temp-removal is really handy though, and none of the effects aside from "Destroy target artifact" are too bad. But I can't help but feel there could have been a more Bant flavored green effect. Even just "Target creature gets +2/+2 and Trample until end of turn." or something.

This is killer in EDH. Instant speed removal of a general that effectively prevents them from grabbing him without a tutor...fantastic! 5/5

I have this card in all my Commander decks of this color combo. It doesn't even give warning like that one artifact that does almost the same thing.

Dispel, which as an identical effect, costs {G}{W} less Oxidize, which has a better effect, costs {W}{U} less Condemn, which is slightly weaker, costs {G}{U} less
The abilities make this card versatile but otherwise I think it's one of the weaker charms because its abilities are printed as 1 cmc cards. The logical (but not power level-wise) thing to do would be replace or with and/or.
This is only "good in EDH", is because its another loophole that needs to be fixed. If your playing at my house, your commander gos back to the command zone when I cast Bant Charm on him.

Definitely one of the best instants for GWU, in some cases even with GW decks it's worth it to splice U only for that. I have seen it happen.
Probably 90% of the times you will use the "return to bottom" mode, which is the best creature removal method right now, no hitting the graveyard to triger other effects (e.g. undying, modular etc.), no advatage to opponent or easy like many removals (e.g. path to exile) or easy undo like with auras.
a 9% of the times you will use the destray artifact mode. Personally I would prefer this mode to be "destroy target enchantment" since enchantments can generally have more "lock out" effects that can be lifted only by destroy the enchantment. In addition many artifacts are also creatures so you can already deal with them by the "put to bottom" mode and many other work just by sacrificing them which is dificult to deal with. But still a very useful option there.
a 1% of the times you will use the counter mode. I feel this one could be a "sorcery or instant" effect without making it overpowered. Well it isn't, but it will work well as an anticounter or to protect your creatures from removal in some cases.

One of the best charms there is. Especially for EDH/Commander. The shuffling away is powerful removal, that works on regenerators and indestructibles alike. Artifact destruction can be useful too. The instant part is a bit narrow, but also neat.

The funniest Charms are the ones that carry a whole bunch of specific answers, but when you put it all together you've got a very nice general piece of removal. While something like Dispel might end up useless in the wrong matchup, decks with no creatures OR artifacts OR instants are few and far between.

I just noticed how much this is an anti-Birthing Pod card. It destroys Birthing Pod, counters Chord of Calling, and cleanly answers all the resilient creatures in those decks.

The key to Bant Charm is that all its options are good. You won't need every option every game, but you'll always be able to use at least one mode, and since all the modes are 1-for-1 removal of various types you'll always get good value. Unlike, say, Naya Charm, which can be quite poor against a creatureless deck.
I like this as an option for off-turn Cascade from my Maelstrom Nexus.
@j_mindfingerpainter:
I agree Esper Charm is very nice since you can always get 2-for-1, if you're happy with not affecting the board state and possibly losing tempo. (You obviously time it to minimize the tempo loss and make good on the card gain, like if you're playing draw-go and didn't counter anything that turn.)
However, saying that Bant Charm is just an overcosted version of three different 1-cost cards is rather obtuse. Are you really going to simultaneously play Dispel, Oxidize, and Condemn main-board in the same deck? Good luck with that. I'd much rather have a single marginally more expensive card that I know will always be useful rather than a handful of cards that end up being dead weight in half the games. Also, if you're running Nexus as mentioned above, the 3 CMC is perfect for a surpise Cascade attack from a Bant Sureblade during your opponent's attack. Not only did you just "Libury" their best creature, you dropped in a 3/2 First Strike at instant speed to help block. Ouch.
