This cards ability is an activated ability, and according the rule book once an activated ability has resolved it is no longer checked. Why then is this the only activated ability that is constantly checked?
Once you "Gain control..." you should be able to remove the enchantment and not lose control since your no longer gaining control. By the way, the card doesn't read ".... for as long as that creature is enchanted."

This is very confusing and is made even more confusing because not only does it check if the creature is enchanted at all times but when the matriarch is put in the graveyard you still maintain control of the creature. How does the matriarch check if the creature is enchanted from the graveyard? This card makes no sense in that aspect but it's still a decent card.

Combo with any Licid. If the creature or the enchantment is about to be destroyed/removed simply end the effect and select a new target. I especially enjoy Nurturing Licid, or Tempting Licid, or Corrupting Licid.

@jerm9999, your rong. i thought so to untill i read the rulings.

The control effect applies so long as at least one Aura is attached to the creature, and will continue to apply even if Roo***er Matriarch has left the battlefield. The effect ends if at any time the creature has no Auras on it.

This card makes plenty of sense. It can target any critter, since the targeting condition is "target creature". Then, there is a conditional change of control that lasts as long as this targeted creature is enchanted. It could be no time at all, it could be for 1000 turns after the matriarch is dead. With cards like this, it's all about details and wording. Just go piece by piece through the effect, and you'll have no trouble.

The Tempest version makes a little more sense.

So much fun, turns Shimmering Wings into Control Magic. Love the new artwork too. Plays nice with Roo***er Shaman for instant speed control or Simic Guildmage to steal enchantments.

I never thought that at all, because I read the card properly.

She's fun because she doubles the utility of all your pump auras as mind controls, totally negating their vulnerability as auras to removal.

Also, as was mentioned before, fantastic with vow spells.

And very annoying to play against if your opponent even has just a few auras in his deck, like a celestial mantle.
