Great card for any deck. The only problem is that it's pretty pricey.

Nice, pricey for what it does though. Especially considering that for only a little more you can play Tooth and Nail.

This is ridiculously good in EDH (er... Commander). The mana shouldn't be much of a problem, and you get a re-usable creature tutor. If you have Wheel of Sun and Moon you don't need to worry much about losing a creature.

I like this card in EDH...it generates some insane card advantage after a couple of activations...10 points to Gryffindor.
Flute of Summoning Dragons for MTG. I like it. Obviously it's no Tooth and Nail, but I like it. :)

@Szentekkel:
Pay 5, pay X to get a creature to your hand. Sure it seems bad... until you consider that only two colors have any reliable way to tutor for creatures, most of which are single-use spells. This is colorless, so any deck can run it, and it's REUSABLE.
This has proven to be incredible in EDH and it's far from being "a piece of **** " as some kid mentioned.
It's not like you're paying 5 + X every single time you need to find a creature and bring it to your hand so for re-useable creature-tutor, 5 to bring it out initially is more than fair. You're in a pinch where that one 3-cost utility creature would help you out? Perfect. 3 to find before your opponent's turn ends, 3 to cast on your turn.
Not as great if you want to track down your Worldspine Wurm but still, the option is there and the option is awesome to have. Plus who doesn't like Dragon flutes passed down through the generations? 4/5
