Lame. You draw a card, so it doesn't just waste (that much) space, but it is pretty boring. I guess it could help in a pinch, but...1 damage...

Eh, never been a fan of cards like this. Seems more like you use it so it thins your deck out more its always felt like i was paying to play with a 56 card deck. mediocre in some cases, but bad in most imo.

Heck, even in the tutorial videos recently put out by Wizards, this card always failed hard to do anything but prevent 1 point of damage. You won't be saving any creatures or keep yourself alive with this.

Should have kept Mending Hands in the core set instead of bringing in this. Preventing 1 damage isn't enough to be of use, even with cantrip. If it cost 2 and prevented 3 damage, then it would be worth it.

The prevent isn't the good part of the card. 1 WHITE mana for 1 draw is amazing, the 1 damage prevention is only a bonus.

A cantrip and prevents damage. Decent. 3/5

I guess if you use a ton of 3 toughness creatures, you could get away with this in a bolt-happy world. Card advantage for one mana takes skill to make work.

not a 1 star card like everyone claims, i give it 2/5 simply for the versatility and cheap cost, but nowhere near semi-pro level of play or even beyond FNM play.

People complelety misunderstand cantrips. There is no way a 1cc instant that doesn't cost you card advantage and can easily save a creature and potentially net you a 1-for-zero should be rated a 1.4

It's not damage prevention with a cantrip, it's a cantrip with damage prevention as a bonus. If you really don't like it don't play it, as far as i'm concerned it may as well read: Bandage Cycling {W}: Discard this card, Draw a card. When you cycle Bandage, you may prevent 1 damage to target creature or player.
Of course this isn't exactly what the card does, and since it doesn't actually have cycling it can be countered, but honestly if some blue mage wants to waste a counter spell on this, by all means.

I don't know. There is certifiably at least one card worse than this: Heal.

Iunno. The cantrips is pretty good for one, though I think this is a card best served in a situation where you have four open slots and nothing better to put in, or you have one or two specific cards you really want to draw for your win con as early as possible. Four of these, four Squaks, and four Evolving Wilds really adds up after a while, pair that with an opening draw of Seven, and you got 19 cards out of the way. Now granted, I would still prefer Origin Spellbomb for my white cantrips, but I can still see situations where this card would be justified. Use it for Cantrips most of the time, and sometimes, sometimes, that one damage could be a deal breaker.

Surprisingly solid in draft. Don't knock it until you try it.
(And anything that cantrips at 1 mana is automatically a 3. Honestly....)

Anything that cantrips at cmc is worth a second look. This can be used to turn a trade into a favorable position, counter a lightning bolt, or simply prevent one damage to you and draw a card.
Definitely deserves a better rating then the 2 stars its at right now. Ill give it a .5 stronger rating then I gave its slowtripping cousin heal.

Deck thinning, with added bonus!
Tenth Ed contains some surprisingly interesting cards.

When Tarmogoyf first came out, I bought a playset at $4 each just to make a silly deck with cantrips like this, Scout's Warning, Street Wraith, and Edge of Autumn. I liked it so much that I played it at FNM, and lost horribly. The Tarmogoyf was always huge though. A year later, I sold those Tarmogoyfs at $40 each. A few years after that, they're $120 now.

I'm attempting to amass low-cost cantrip cards like this that target a creature so I can see if it's possible to build on Theros' Heroic mechanic with old cards. There's potential there, I can feel it...

Deserves at least a 3 for being a White Reach Through Mists with a handy addition that can be useful to save creatures from being bolted. I like the mention of cheap can trips like this and Heroic. Could be good.
