To bad its creature type isn't bird or it might have been fairly decent in a tribal bird deck. Overall not really bad and not really that great.

If you want this card for a bird tribal deck look at Avian Changeling. It can also steal a few of your opponents tribal abilities it they're playing certain cards (especially nice against Slivers).

Decent in draft, I suppose.

Pretty average. It's practically a vanilla creature. And there are many cards which are probably better than it, including Diving Griffin. But it's cute and works pretty well in my casual deck, so I'm happy with it. The art by Matt Cavotta is great. The flavor is great. I like the 10th edition one better because of the art and the flavor text, which is specially lulzy when put besides Griffin Rider.
I have a casual Griffin White Weenie deck (2 of this, 4 Diving Griffins, 4 Griffin Sentinels, 4Griffin Riders, 4 Guardians' Pledges which I'd replace with Honor of the pure if I weren't too cheap buy them, 4 Pacifisms and some Elite Vanguards and White Knights to round it up) and this works well in it.
In sum, I like it mostly for art and flavor, even though Diving Griffin is much better.

@ Darien, King of Kjeldor- why don't you ask Cloud Crusader how he did it? Or just make a bunch of White Knights become Griffin Trainers?
