I have a question, so you can't use this lands special ability unless you have another snow permanent out?

@evilcleavage, no, you couldnt. unless you some how figured out how to produce mana from him with out tapping him he would be taped to actifate his ability. also not just any snow permanent would work. it would have to have a mana ability. though i would think that both of these facts would be obvios.

@Evil: I suppose like this: 6 Lands out and this. Tap this for Snow, play Cloud of Faeries, untap this and another land and you're good to go.

Not bad. Four damage can take down quite a lot of creatures. Then add that the amount of creatures with protection from lands is pretty tiny, that unlike normal removal spells it can't be countered by normal counterspells, that it comes into play untapped and that it is a snow permanent, and you have a great card.
I run a couple of those in a red-blue snow control deck, including rings of brighthearth so I can sac one of these for 8 damage.

I just love the mental image of this huge block of glacial ice crashing down on some helpless Grizzly Bears who were camping under it.

And let me ask a question... When you see the artwork, why the hell would you go in there?

This is the reason I don't go to frozen caves...

@Nikeyeia: Just because you're not going inside the cave, it doesn't mean it's not going to come crashing down on you anyway. See those steep hills in front of the cave? I'll bet you five bucks this thing is still able to snowball down those hills and kill something - all I need is just a little mana to make the right cut ... ;)
Also, running all-snow lands in a deck rarely hurts anyone. You could even put this in a blue control deck and play with snow-covered islands to pay its cost, because, let's face it, next to no-one uses snow-hate cards in this day and age, not even in casual.

This would be useful in an aggro deck and could be useful as a late game card in a {R}{W} or {R} deck. Since snow-covered lands are basic lands you can have as many as you want, making paying this cost rather easy.

I'm liking it.
