Why else would like to see From The Vault: Specters? Make it happen Wizards!

Very useful creature, two of them can quickly bounce all lands of your opponet and later discard his hand.

My biggest gripe with most Specters is the fact that they become kind of useless quickly once you've destroyed your opponent's hand. I really like this one since it remains useful even after that happens.

Awesome! A true U/B specter. And ya how about From The Vault: Specters? I would get that ^^

Makes good use of Scepter of Fugue or other repeatable effects after the bounce.

From the vault specters FTW

This is the only CARD even remotely close to replacing, or replacing the Hippie entirely, FTW. It's true you aren't pulling the classic Ritual first turn trick easily, but all and all, this card is DEF 5 stars hands down! PS If you have no idea what cards I was referring too, you haven't played MTG long enough;)

Use with a Hypnotic Specter. You choose the order your effects go on the stack, so you can make an opponent return a card to their (empty) hand, then use the Hippie's ability to make them discard that card and trigger your Megrim or Liliana's Caress.

Combine with Fireshrieker to really have some fun at your opponents expense!!!

I'm not sure but if the hit at the same time can you bounce with this and cast that same card with Mindleech Mass? If you can this is going in my Blue Black mill control deck.

@Rikiaz

I'd assume you choose the order in which the abilities go on the stack, so I think you'd be able to do that :D

That's how feel too, & at for only one more mana you solve that problem. Yes, you need to be able to produce Blue, but that won't be a problem for a lot of people I know...

@ VampireCat
Well said.

Hate to rain on the parade, but I don't think there are enough really good specters to make a "From the Vault: Specters". Maybe someday. Anyways... this card still rocks.

The Hyppie is all you need for a FtV: Specters.

FtV: Specters would be silly, they're just a creature type. But this dude is totally Melvin.

If I got From the Vault: Specters, then I would expect a pack of 15 Hypnotic Specters.

I just find it weird to look at where the drake's nose and the image border meet...

i like this card, very good design, very balanced!
i like that it becomes more powerful if you build your deck around it.

i hate today's power creep!

i'd put this in my hypothetical black/blue control deck..maybe with some disruption in discard and defense in bounce..

hmm, i'll try to get my hands on these..

Hell, i you really want to exploit this, make them still have cards in their hand. There's so much mandatory card draw in the game.

I guess they are best in multiples. If your opponent has cards on hand, make him discard those. If he doesn't, use one specter to make him return something to his hand, and the other specter, to make him discard it.

Indeed a nice design. As ScruffyNerfHearder suggested,
give him double strike and make your opponent return a permanent and then discard it :D
