So if you played this and then used something for kill tons of 1/1 (Deathbringer Thoctar, Volcanic Fallout) you could destroy every single enemy forest?
Pyroclasm, wrath of god, inundate, wash out, infest, etc, etc....
Great card for casual, though

Play with Vision Charm and the like to ensure your opp. has forests to animate (and kill).

I'd rather sideboard this against an opponent's green deck rather than use it in earnest with my own forests.

Yes, yes, your opponent can sweep the board with removal to cheat you out of lands. That much is obvious. It's also clear that when attacking with lands, there are better options - Life and Limb is basically this with a Saproling bonus, and manlands generally outclass this, as they boast less risk. Even something like Rude Awakening works, (though pricey) as you can control exactly when your lands are vulnerable. Living Plane affects all lands this way, so it's even easier to take down opposing lands. Natural Emergence and Nature's Revolt make more durable critters. So granted that this makes lands tantalizingly fradgile, what can we say about the merits of the card?
Timber Protector stops all those shenannigins you seem to find so amusing, as does Terra Eternal. Pantheon mentioned the combination with attack triggers, namely, Beastmaster Ascension. That's indestructible (with the previous cards) 6/6 Forests almost immediately. Overrun effects are always good- Overrun itself happens a turn after this is dropped, leading a force of (possibly) four 4/4 tramplers in by turn 5 (perhaps more forests in less time- Explore and Nature's Lore are in colour, after all, not to mention the myriad of other green land tricks), which in and of itself could spell game- especially with a turn three Ascension to follow your attacks. Earth Surge makes these fellows 3/3s, which still makes them Bolt-able, but brings them out of Fallout, Ping, Infest, and Thoctar range. So, basically, there are some fun and interesting ways to use this, but I can understand the double-edged sword has the potential to be very unfun. No one likes to have their lands destroyed- after all, if you can't play the game, the game isn't fun.

Now we need a card that says all 1/1 creatures in play are Forests.
