The storage counter lands can come in handy, especially in these colors.

They say I overuse doubling seasons, then I used them to double double the counters on this guy and burn them to death with a delicious BaneFire for 20.

I think this would work quite well with Gilder Barrin
That doesn't scare us, you've still only got two Mountains.
Remove all 6 counters from Fungal Reaches, 6 red mana, kill everything, then play a Llanowar Elf. Go.

This is more of a utility land than a dual. Regarding color fixing, Shimmering Grotto is better, but this can give you some extra mana after a few turns.

It's like a big mana battery. Save your extra mana at the end of each turn, and then convert it all into a massive spell. Waste not, want not.

Pros 1) Does not come into play tapped. 2) Taps for . 3) Can spend unused mana to get a reward later on.
This is a balanced land, potential for great long term reward and providing a way to spend unused mana. The only drawback being having multiples in your opening hand as your only lands, possibly forcing a mulligan because of color issues. I recommend 2 or 3 at the most for a deck, solid land.

Between all storage lands, this cycle is the most powerful, I think. It comes into field untapped, and can tap for {1}. Yes, it requires actually 2 mana to put a counter on it, but I think that it's a little price to pay, in order to be able to put counters since the beginning, instead of wait for a whole turn like the old lands... Moreover, you can pay {1} from any land to get mana from this, and still be able to tap to add a counter afterward...
My Izzet Commander deck need the enemy-color version of this land!

Cons
1) Taps for colorless, could color screw you on your opening hand.
2) Not a forest or a mountain if your deck cares about that (Dungrove Elder, Howl of the Night Pack, Strata Scythe, ect.)
