A 1 drop that can easily pick off anything your opponent plays in the first few turns, and possibly even survive from a weaker attack. As people have said it's second ability should just be ignored for the most part. 4/5.

The second ability is more useful than you think. In a Boros deck with Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran, an extra attacker in that last all-out assault when you've used Rally the Righteous could be just what you need to deliver the finishing blow. Of course it shouldn't be used if there's any chance of removal, but having the option is always nice. And at worst, it still trades with Bloodbraid Elf.

In casual the second ability can help boost Knight of the Reliquary. Still, I would only use this for its defensive capabilities, to help stall against aggressive decks as I tend to play slower.

If it helps you can think of it as an improved Cinder Wall.
Torpid Moloch is actually not a bad card. It's big enough to fend off most early attacks (at least it was at the time of printing), and it can be turned into an attacker if the situation calls for it.
Awesome with manabarbs and citadel of pain. I use this ONLY for it's ability to sac lands for free. Mixed with fireblast, devestating summons and similar I'm able to survive the onslaught of land damage (while being mono-red.)
Also, a good little one drop defender that keeps people off ya. Combines well with Branded Brawlers and Veteran Brawlers as well, given they're all efficient blockers that can also attack.

A real skill-tester. In Ravnica Limited, this was often a defensive Lightning Bolt that traded with a lot of things. Don't forget the second ability to go all out on offense, or to get lands in the graveyard for free.

Even though its a defender its pretty threatening for an expendable one drop.
