would be great if someone played this with White cost paid and then you respond with brand.
"Thanks for the free lifelink until end of turn!"

6 mana for a Threaten... It may give Lifelink if is spend, but still we have to assume that it would cost cause comparing to Threaten, whitch cost +4=(Whitch should be whole cost to pay for it.).
So, it gives lifelink for quite expensive don't you think?

Well the thing is, Threaten is a Sorcery, and this is an Instant...
Like, say, they attack w/ everything? Oh, I'll take your Wrexial, and give it Lifelink too! (Then block. Duh.)

If played correctly, this destroys their two biggest attacking creatures and gains you a chunk of life. Of course this means you can't really cast anything during your turn in order to leave six mana open. And once your opponent knows that you have this in your deck, such a move becomes painfully transparent.

@SwordSkill and anyone else calling it lifelink
the creature does not get life link, it gains "Whenever this creature deals combat damage, you gain that much life" which is slightly different
if you did this to a creature, you would gain double the life, because it is 2 seperate effects.
You could do it to your own creature, one with lifelink already. like, a darksteel colossus with a basilisk collar on it...

Would've been okay at 4 mana as a sorcery.

I don't know anyone who would attack me with a bunch of large creatures while I have 6+ mana open.

@polychromatic Then put black in your boros deck, and add Dark Ritual. Call it an Uroboros deck!

Despite the instant speed, it's still overcosted. {4}{R} maybe, not {5}{R}.

Oh, they missed a very awesome possibility here. Rather than just tacking on unflavorful lifelink here, why not Valor Made Real? I know lifelink has been done on cards before, but here it seems forced and just an excuse to up the CMC. Take a look:
Flash Conscription Instant Untap target creature and gain control of it until end of turn. That creature gains haste until end of turn. If was spent to cast Flash Conscription, the creature may block any number of creatures this turn.
Look at Fight to the Death and tell me that this version wouldn't work as a card. It could be used as either a Threaten or a flash Pariah with the potential of killing a SECOND creature (or more). Oh the combat tricks that card could have granted. Ah well... maybe one day.
