Act of Treason.

This card established that "borrowing" for a turn was red's color pie. There's been lots of variations since then.

I believe that it was Temporary Insanity that was the first red card to use this mechanic. This card however was the firs without a potential drawback, and established the mechanic at sorcery speed and not instant speed.

One could argue that Disharmony from Legends was the grandfather of them all, however it is a bit more convoluted than the rest of them.

I like how the goblin is branding a human.
