Aw, no comment love for this one? It looks awesome on paper, for the right deck.

These are fun when you drop a Wrath of God because your 4 enchantments come to life and hit your oppent for 16 life because all of his creatures died, the only down side is you have no creatures during the end of your turn.

I can see this being fun after dropping a Wrath of God, but these don't become creatures after that until you play another creature.
I like the idea behind this card though.

Leyline Of Anticipation, then summon a creature right after Wrath Of God, leaving a small in your hand for your oppenents next turn if they use haste creatures.

The flavor text is pretty badass.

Since it becomes an illusion, it's a little better now with Lord of the Unreal from M12.

The thing you need to remember is that this procs with ANY creature drop...including 1 mana creature drops. I have four of these in a deck with 12x 1cmc 1/1 merfolk creatures. Get a couple of these out and drop a 1cmc creature each turn and your essentially swinging with a very difficult to destroy Serra's Angel each turn for nothing mana wise.

If I've understood what MaRo has said about MTG design, design space, and Zendikar block, the main reason that tricks like this weren't used for Landfall is because they wanted to leave the Zendikar version as basic as possible for two reasons:
1. so that it would be really easy to pick up and learn how to play a landfall deck because you have the least possible number of new things to worry about
2. so that cool ideas like ''whenever you play a land, do something more interesting than make your creatures bigger'' can show up the next time they use landfall in a set. Landfall got a pretty good response. Maybe not as good as Cycling-- but did we see landcycling or creaturecycling in the first set that cycling showed up in? Did we get multikicker in the set that kicker first appeared in? Nope.
For mechanics like landfall, if you think 'oh they could have done THIS with it, why didn't they?' chances are, they're doing it right now in the Future-Future-Future League, and we'll see it in a couple of years.

Handily dodges sorcery speed board wipe by your opponent (and presumably by you as well, unless you're a fan of playing creatures and wiping the board in the same turn)

Extremely pretty illustration, as one would expect from John Avon. Aside from that, it seems like it has nice potential for an Illusion deck.

The reason stuff like this didn't show up in Zendikar is because you're supposed to be playing multiple lands a turn to maximize what you get out of your landfall cards. Something like this would just be disappointing because my Walking Atlas or whatever wouldn't do anything with this. I greatly prefer the direction that landfall went in over something like this.

Could be fun in defense with flash creatures

I use this for solid effect in my meloku illusion tribal edh. It's pretty hard to get rid of, and if it draws fire from your mana artifacts it's doing its job. Not to mention I'll usually hit with it 2-3 times as well.

Wow DarthParallax, that's... actually pretty insightful. I didn't know you had it in you.
